Had it two months - can’t use it
Came with a broken piece. I’ve called QVC 3 times and been told 3 different things. First they could order, then they couldn’t, then they sent me the wrong piece, then the requested the wrong part number and it was rejected, and 2 weeks ago supposedly the piece was ordered again. Needless to say I have not received the replacement piece. I’m sure the equipment is just lovely... it’s QVC’s customer service that is poor quality.

Missing piece and still waiting
I first called QVC on 2/22/21 after just receiving the Total Gym because an end cap was damaged during shipping. I have called 4 times (4 weeks in a row) since and still have not received the missing piece. QVC customer service just tells you they sent in the request to Total Gym but then nothing happens and no follow up! After spending over $300 I would think QVC would want to keep my business in the future but apparently not! After a month of waiting, I have to assume at this point that I will never get the damaged piece and I am stuck with an off balance Gym! QVC’s customer service has gone down hill and I will not order from them again! Don’t order this!

INCOMPLETE ORDER
I ordered the total Gym on 02/10/21. I received the order timely; however, the order was incomplete. Missing were hitch pins that were needed to operate the gym safely. I followed up last week and advised the agent of the need for the pins. Today, 02/17/2021, the pins had not arrived nor communications from QVC or Total Gym as to when I could expect them. I, therefore, followed up with QVC and learned that Total Gym has not responded.

Smooth and easy, so far
I received the machine yesterday and put it together today, Mar. 11, 2021, and done it fairly quickly. The glide board is smooth and you just have to make sure that it stays on the rail, like the instructions tell you. I like it, so far but I can't understand something about the DVDs that came with it. Aren't the DVDs supposed to show you how to use the machine that "you" purchased and not some other machine? I popped the beginning DVD in and it show me how to use a machine that was from 2002. I put in another DVD and it show me different machine that I didn't purchase. Soooo, are there any DVDs that shows you how to use the Total Gym Elite Plus with 8 Resistance Levels and Pilates Kit that I purchase or they thought you wouldn't notice the difference? If there are some out there, QVC, I'd definitely like to have them. That's my only negative thing I have to say about my purchase. Thank you.

Warning Signs
Looking back, there were warning signs. The number of one-star reviews and those that indicated broken parts shipped, that sort of thing. It was the price that got me as I'd wanted a Total Gym for a while now. And it came quickly, one day shipping. Ordered on Saturday ad received Monday. It was heavier than anticipated and came together good, instructions clear after a couple of readings. But once together and I tried it out, that's when the trouble began. I got on and heard a thunk and the whole chassis, glideboard and rails dropped a bit. I immediately got off and inspected it. The glideboard worked Ok, was a bit sticky. It moved but didn't return to the bottom of the unit It's then I noticed that the glideboard is not symmetrical with the rails. The entire unit is off-center a tad. I collapsed the unit for storage to view the undercarriage to see if there was packing or something blocking things. I removed a piece of cardboard packing, lowered the unit and tried again. This time I had even less movement. It's not a weight limit thing. I weigh about 225lbs but my wife who's much less couldn't get it to move freely either. I'm very disappointed. Now i have the dubious challenge of reboxing this cumbersome piece of exercise equipment for a return. The warning signs were there. I just didn't heed them.

LOVE IT!
Not understanding all the negative reviews. It's not a top of line piece of equipment, however it delivers as promised. It is a great intro to the Total Gym world, with dozens of exercises and modifications. If you are tall, this particular model would not be the best fit. Additionally, Total Gym TV offers many free videos, without opting into the paid TV service. I love that i can add accessories, but mostly that i am able to do squats again without popping my hips out of the sockets. The support of the glide board has given me back all those exercises i had to forgo. I wasn't thrilled with the packaging and set up, but i managed and within an hour, i was working out. I was not going to invest $1500+ without knowing if i would use it, so now i know. Once i need more from my Total Gym workout, i will pass this unit on to a relative and buy the top of the line Total Gym. I can see myself using this equipment for many years. You cannot beat the variability of this equipment, especially for less than a $400 investment.

returning!
I had been wanting to try the total gym for some time now and when I saw this one was on sale last weekend I just had to go for it. I started taking items out of the box and immediately saw damages to the product. The endcap was busted and the nylon part of the hand pull was cut almost in half. I work hard for my money and there is absolutly no way I am keeping a damaged item. Packing it back in the box and shipping it back!
