Peter Lamas’ hair would keep the secret, but he’s spilling: he turns 74 in April even though his locks look like they did when he was 20. “Seeing is believing. My hair is superb. I have more hair than I know what to do with. That’s because I use products that make a difference.” Specifically, he uses his eponymous line of hair-care products. Of course, he’s not his only client. Peter’s been a celebrity hair stylist for decades, first in New York, now in Los Angeles.

Real-Life Model

Peter’s big-name clients include musicians, models, singers, and actresses who are already sold on his products, but he encourages new customers to try his shampoo, conditioner, and serum first. You already know what to do with shampoo and conditioner. “My serum is for the scalp. You don’t even have to wash your hair. You apply it with a dropper three times a week, at minimum, in the evening. In the morning, shampoo and condition.”

QVC buyer Megan Park was treated to a wash and style using the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. “In this terrible weather, my hair is still full and bouncing around!” she enthused. “I never seem to be able to get volume in my hair and smoothness on my ends, and with Peter my hair has both.” And she didn’t have to go far to show off her luxurious locks. “As soon as I walked back toward my office, people stopped me to tell me they love my hair! I really lucked out on timing because today is my three-year anniversary, so my look for date night with my fiancé is all set and better than I could have imagined!”

The Science Behind the Shine

“I might be a chemist in my next life,” Peter told us. “I like to know what’s in products. I pay attention now. A lot of consumers do. That’s why I drove my two chemists crazy. I did my research. I learned. I know what I’m talking about. I challenged them to give the latest advances in producing the formulations.”

The Future at QVC

“Like anybody coming to QVC, I want to be successful,” Peter said. “We’re not selling the flavor of the month. We’re giving our customers the very best we can to enhance their image and make them feel better.”
