Strawberry Short Cake Tray

Serves: 10–12

Ingredients

  • 6–8 Bread and Bread Strawberry cakes
  • Whipped cream
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • Pinch of salt

For the Strawberry Sauce

  • 1.5 qts of strawberries, cleaned & sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

Make the strawberry sauce first to allow time for the juice to form. Mix all those ingredients together & allow to get juicy.

For the whipped cream, combine all the ingredients together in the KitchenAid stand mixer & whip until medium-soft peaks form.

Cut the bread loaves into thirds, lengthwise, creating long rectangles.

Assemble: On the base of the pan, create a layer of the sliced cake, then add in half of the whip cream on top of the sliced loaf. Next, top the cream with 1/2 of the strawberry sauce. Repeat, finishing with berries on top.

Garnish with strawberries cut in half & placed on top.
