Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth It For me, this product is not worth its value. Also, one of the nozzles came broken. Would not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Purchased over a year ago and just thought I would review now. I have owned so many hair dryers over my lifetime some average to excellent. The Dyson exceeded expectations. My hair is shortish with bangs, fine, and color treated. I wash my hair everyday to every other day I’m aware that it isn’t recommended to wash hair so frequently but my hair just seems to attract all elements. I however do purchase higher quality hair products. Dyson is unbelievable drys my hair in record time I bring it forward use my fingers and slant the nozzle downward using medium heat. I do use a hair styler at times but also use just the dryer with a fine bristle brush. After styling my hair losses all friz and has a beautiful shine. Volume is also an unexpected plus. At times if in a super rush I use a dry voluminous spray but before I spritz with water and finish with the Dyson. I am aware this is the most expensive hair dryer out there and friends have expressed opinions liked”I’d never pay that price ever.” But, I have also received compliments on my hair so to me, I have no regrets. This is my gift to myself and I feel that I deserve it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever Best ever hair dryer!!! Works fast and doesn’t fry your hair. It is expensive but well worth the money. I take it where ever I go, and lock it in the room safe if I am at a hotel!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I expected Well, I'm disappointed with the performance of the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. After reading reviews and watching multiple tutorials I decided to give this very expensive hair dryer a chance, i was extremely excited to try it, and followed all the instructions/tricks given, to my shocking surprise is not as good as it claims to be. After my first use the texture of my hair felt coarse and less silky- gave it a second chance, this time the Dyson left my hair frizzy and with a straw-like quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing Special for the price. All the "hype" about this dryer. It is heavy; cord that is cumbersome; and does not dry thin hair any differently than any other dryer for 1/5th the price. Only buy it if you want to throw away the $ 400 so that Dyson Corporation might be able to completely re-do an inferior product that needs a lot of work. I like my $ 75 dryer much better. Could not send the Dyson back fast enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Dyson This is the best dryer I’ve ever owned and Ive been a hairstylist for 35 years. I use this daily in my salon, couldn’t live without it! Makes the clients hair so smooth and adds lots of shine cuts drying time in half or more. I highly recommend getting a dyson dryer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Tech Dryer After the first use, I was going to return it because my hair was so dried out that I was afraid I was damaging it. For the first week it kept getting more and more straw like. I couldn’t condition it enough! Then, all of a sudden, after 1 week of using it I understood what all the hype is about...I had rich girl hair! It got rid of the frizz, made my hair so shiny and cut my drying time in half. It’s very comfortable to hold and I like the magnetic attachments. Very easy to change and they hold strong. Very happy with this dryer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive and useless I really wanted to love this dryer, but I returned it after one use. I have a Dyson fan and a Dyson vacuum; both are terrific and add to my quality of life. This thing, though...honestly, who needs a blow dryer that has the force of a jet engine??? I have long hair of medium weight, wavy -- down to my waist -- and this thing was the equivalent of standing in a wind tunnel. It blew all the wave out of my hair, leaving my hair looking messy and like I just rolled out of bed. I think Dyson should make it clear that this device is best for either professional hairstylists to use on someone else, or for people who have tons and tons of thick straight coarse hair that takes a long time to dry. Anyone else -- i.e., if you have fine hair, wavy hair, curly hair, or hair that looks best with a minimum of styling, THIS DRYER IS NOT FOR YOU. Clearly, this dryer is made for hair that has to be seriously tamed: for a blow-out for example. It is NOT suitable for everyday casual styling. Also -- it's so heavy, I could barely hold it. The control buttons are awkwardly placed. The cord is humongous and heavy and swings around and hits you as you try to move the dryer. And the price? Are you kidding me? I cannot figure out why this dryer is literally hundreds of dollars, except maybe just Dyson "hype". I went back to my Revlon Conair dryer that I paid $19 for at my local drug store. It's been working like a charm for 6 years, is light as a feather, and gets the job done.
