What is it: The T3 Volumizer Heated Brush volumizes and smoothes the hair--and it's as easy to use as a brush. It volumizes at the root, smoothes, creates shine, and builds movement throughout the hair, plus it lifts and styles without snagging. The tourmaline ceramic design helps to provide a shiny allover finish. Use it as a styling tool on day one of washing, and to help reshape your style on day two and/or three.
Who is it for: Ideal for medium- to fine- texture hair types with chest-length or shorter hair. The Volumizer works well on layered haircuts, as it will create more lift and body than on hair that is all one length.
Those with shoulder-length and shorter hair can expect volume at the root and/or body throughout and a smooth and shiny finish.
Those with shoulder- to chest-length hair can expect body throughout if hair is layered, and a smooth and shiny finish.
The Volumizer is not recommended for long, thick, or coarse hair, or hair with a lot of natural texture that is typically hard to style.
Why it is different: The curved brush head is suited for creating volume at the root. The wide brush pad is also specially designed for smoothing wide sections of hair.
How do I use it: Work with 2" to 3" sections of hair at a time. Use slow and steady brush strokes to distribute heat evenly, and repeat to create desired fullness. Lift and scoop, applying a "C" motion, and brush up from the scalp and back from the face. Use it like a normal brush, not like a styling tool, and run through hair a few times to "break it in."
To volumize flat hair, over-direct the hair and hold the brush at the root for a few seconds while using your other hand to hold the hair section up. Then slowly pull the brush through to the ends.
To create more body on layered haircuts, use the brush to flip the ends under or create a soft bend in the hair.
