She needed to exchange for bigger size due to no room for thicker socks. Still no room for thicker sock; longer in length is all. If she decides against them I will keep for myself bc they are cute and made well. 4 stars bc they didn't leave room for winter socks. I wasted so much money with ship cost to and from for gift returns this year! Didn't realize that they charge for shipping BOTH ways if you return anything. Future gifts will be bought IN STORE from now on. Gift cards are no fun to give. I already warned my friends and family. This way if it doesn't fit or they don't like it I can return and get FULL refund back. Even if you return on your own they minus the ship to cost! All the department stores I go to they give a FULL refund. No stocking fees or try at your own risk fees. Host can be very pervasive and you TRUST some of them! Anyhow, I digress...guess I needed to vent. So if you are slightly wide don't take chance with these boots. Medium width is on skimpy side.

Best boots
I got these boots a few weeks ago and finally got to wear them after the huge northeast snow storm last weekend. Took a 4 mile walk with friends in the single digit windchill temperatures and with wool socks these boots kept my feet warm. They were very comfortable and I had no problems with rubbing or blisters after the walk. Wore again yesterday snowshoeing and were perfect for the snowshoes. They supposedly are waterproof but have not stepped in any big puddles to test it out. I wear 10M and they are a perfect fit even with med weight wool socks. Love these boots.
