Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am forever in love I bought my mixer at a pawn shop at a steal of a deal! I used it last night for the first time and I am forever in love. I doubt I will ever hand mixing anything again. It was quiet and smooth. Easy to use. I mixed up a breakfast casserole in no time. The prep was actually about 10 minutes like the recipe said, not 20 because I had to mix/beat everything by hand. Next I am taking on garlic mashed potatoes and then cast iron skillet cinnamon rolls

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected At All I gave up my 7-Quart DeLonghi for this KitchenAid mixer. I'm not very happy with it. Food splashes out, even with the cover over the bowl. The Bowl-Lift feature is cumbersome and makes it tough to add certain ingredients (like bricks of cream cheese). Removing the bowl when you're ready to pour the contents is cumbersome and the beater is difficult to work around. Finally, I'm right-handed. When I plug the mixer in the controls end up behind the mixer. The cord is too short. The only feature that makes this mixer better than my DeLonghi is that it's quieter. I would never buy this type again and I truly regret this purchase. It's up for sale. Any takers????

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good as usual, had just a couple issues after the I bought mine about a month ago because my old one took a dump. Very happy with it except for a few facts. They didn't quote me the whole price and surprised to get my CC bill. Saw the same on on QVC at a better savings. Plus the coatd untensil were grey with a white mixer and QVC had white ones. They also explained why the mixer started slow! I also miss the recipe guide you used to get with the new mixer. NO packing slip or receipt! Still kitchen aid is the best and I have most of the attachments. Waiting for the flour sifter scale! gain good product! Someday when I have the money may have the old one fixed this is my 3rd! Thanks I only buy the best! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Looking But That’s It! Received the 600 series as a Christmas gift a year ago and was thrilled with its appearance. However, during the year, I only used it a handful of time.....maybe 8 maximum. Yesterday, I decided to try my hand at making bread. Read the Manuel carefully in order to ensure I used the correct attachments. During the kneading stage, the mixer began to bang and clang and then, although the motor was still running, the kneading attachment stopped turning. The gears stripped and attachments won’t turn. Expensive machine that looks great but definitely is faulted in its design and is not a heavy duty quality machine......can’t knead bread without breaking. Very disappointed in the quality of this very expensive appliance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Attachments not low enough What we found was the unit can’t handle the same small amounts that’s the artisan can. It basically pounds the butter and sugar up the wall instead of whipping it. The artisan pin falls out and breaks and this is not a Lena to handle smaller amounts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bowl jumps I bought this mixer 2 weeks ago and I used it yesterday for the first time. The bowl jumps when it is in use. I had it on the lowest speed setting, 1, and the bowl jump. I tried it on 2 and the bowl continued to jump. It was properly attached to the mixer. I half to hold the bowl by the handle in order to finish mixing my pie filling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for baking I love this mixer. It can handle huge batches of cookie dough, whips up fluffy meringue, and can handle anything in between. The ice cream maker is fun, but takes up a lot of room in the freezer. Even so it lives there us summer. My other favorite attachment is the flour mill. Great product.
