Loaded Cheeseburger Fries

David Venable

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 24-oz bag frozen waffle fries
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1-15oz jar of cheese sauce
  • 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup Russian dressing
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 1/3 red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped cornichons, or baby pickles
  • 1/2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Preparation

Prepare the waffle fries according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain fat from beef and add beef back into the pan.

Add the cheese sauce, yellow mustard, Russian dressing, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef. Cook on low heat and stir until combined and all ingredients are warmed through.

Spread the cooked waffle fries out on a serving platter. Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the waffle fries. Then, sprinkle bacon, tomatoes, diced onion, lettuce, diced pickles, and sesame seeds over the cheese fries. Serve immediately.

Cook's Notes

You could substitute ground turkey for the beef, or omit the bacon and use a plant-based ground beef for a vegetarian option.
