Butterscotch Cookies

Serves: 36

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup pecan halves

Preparation:

Cream the butter, then add the egg yolk. Mix in the brown sugar. Gradually mix in flour (keep an eye on the dough sometimes I add a little less than 2 cups).

Chill dough for 30 minutes. Once chilled, roll into balls and top each with a pecan half. Bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes..

This recipe has been handed down in my family for generations! The directions are simple but the cookies turn out great every time!
