Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lid was stuck When I opened the box the lid was stuck & I couldn’t get it removed! Sent back for another. Hope they still have them in stock. Should not ship with lid attached.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Carrier and so much more. When my mother passed I was assigned the pie making duties for holidays. Large family (have 5 siblings plus spouses, their children(9) who have children (6) . . . I make a min. of 4 pies. Love these carriers as it makes it so much easier to transport. I have made a "shelf" to put in one so that I am able to put 2 pumpkin pies (or similar type) stacked in one carrier. The carrier does hold the weight of both pies and I think one year I actually used glass pie plates. I wish that Lock and Lock would look into this as it is quite handy. I'm sure theirs would look better than mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great This is a very nice pie holder. It comes with handy handles to lift it up out of the container. You could use it to store a variety of other things. Great addition to my Lock and Lock collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Container/Pie Holder Love this piece of LocknLock. It does the trick for pie and you can even hold an entire large watermelon cut up, or fruit salad etc... Fits up to a 10" pie. The only thing I would love to see would be a double pie holder.I have a large family and when we have any get togethers, I always end up bringing 2 pies. I made this one work with a little ingenuity. So my recommendation to make it a double pie holder is to make the base approx. 1" taller, then include an additional "shelf" piece. This would be ideal for fruit pies and cream pies. Hopefully this will come to the market, I am sure I am not the only one to appreciate a double pie holder.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective... I received this with the bottom and lid sucked in. I was unable to get it open and the tabs would not close. I have no idea what was up with that. Had to send it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Pie carrier This is the perfect container for taking pies to party’s or just get togethers. I love the lift that makes it easy to take your beautiful pies out of the container. It is perfect for those really tall cup cakes also. I used to sell the other popular plastic food containers and I have more and more started to switch most of my containers to lock&lock.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design flaw. can not recommend as is The lip on the bottom of the lift out insert is not high enough to keep your pie/cake or whatever is sitting on it from sliding off falling on the floor breaking if glass and making a mess all over the floor, cabinets etc. (yes that was my unpleasant experience with an apple pie in a glass baking dish. On a happy note the glass pie plate did not crack the floor tiles. No picture included as we were busy cleaning up the mess while avoiding additional cuts from the broken pie dish, the top of my husband's foot was cut when the pie plate hit the floor. I can think of two ways to correct the problem: 1. make the lip tall enough to accommodate a slanted side dish that is smaller than the lift out bottom. 2. Probably the correct improvement would be to add two additional stationary pieces across from and but 1/2 as high as the current lift out handles. (they do not fold, securing the contents in place in conjunction with holding the folding lift out handles.) The current insert lip might work for a flat bottom dish that fits the exact size of the insert bottom but I doubt it. The lip is only about 1/16". The underside of the carrier actually has a lip that is slightly taller but still not sufficient and you could not use that side anyway for this purpose as there are several other ridges . Our pie plate was a standard size with raised sides (smaller on the bottom and slanting out on the sides. It would be a good marketing strategy to replace the insert for those of us that purchased this item/ although perhaps not cost effective. Thanks for considering this suggestion I purchased this item as an alternative to my large Lock N Lock cake carrier. I really like the smaller size. the handle on the lid, the six locking tabs and the concept to lift out the pie etc In general I really like and find many uses for the multitude of Lock n Lock pieces I own and have gifted many to friends and family
