Rated 5 out of 5 by from best purchase ever I love these angels!! they are beautiful. I ordered 9 of them I got each one of my girls one for Christmas and I ordered one of each for me. they each represent something special for us all the violin player is for my sons girlfriend, the angel with the book is for my daughter in-law, the angel with the flute is for my daughter who plays the flute and the bell ringer was for my daughter who is a marathon runner we envisioned her as the angel ringing the bell to start the race . I did have some difficulty with the batteries also but once we got them adjusted my angels come on and go off just like clock work. they set on a window seat in front of my bay window they are beautiful when they light up. I'm really sad though my grand daughter accidently broke my bell ringer qvc no longer offers her. I hope I can find away to replace her.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful............but............... I love these angels. I have every one except for the harp. They are absolutely beautiful and make a stunning display. As many others have mentioned, the downside of these angels is the battery box. You almost need a jeweler's tool to open the tiny screw that holds (barely) the batteries in place. They need to reconfigure these. For me, the lighting was not a big factor nor the reason I purchased the angels, and for the number of batteries it takes for such minimal light, I thought it more cost effective to leave them unlit. I still love them, and will buy more if Valerie comes out with new styles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Porcelain Angel holding Violin! I am reviewing Illuminated Porcelain Angel Holding Instrument by Valerie. At first I hesitated from purchasing this item after reading all the problems with the batteries not staying in properly. I am so happy I purchased this lovely Angel anyway as this gorgeous Angel playing the Violin is so pretty and shines even without the illumination so I will never use batteries. I am a 67 year old lady that loved playing the Violin for 8 years as a child so this Angel brings back fond memories of my love for the Violin and classical music. I would love to find another Porcelain Angel by Valerie with the Harp that I would purchase as well. This is a beautiful quality Porcelain Angel playing a Violin by Valerie that makes me smile every time I view it. With all the chaos in the world today, this beautiful Angel by Valerie brings me joy and comfort!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Happy but Disappointed This angel is gorgeous. I bought the one holding the book but it was difficult to choose!!! I would compare the porcelain to Lenox. My disappointment is with the lighting unit. It doesn’t press down on the batteries to hold the connection so unless you are physically pressing down on the cover it doesn’t stay lit. I am going to try to use a bit of some duct tape and see how that goes. Also the light is very minimal on the small bottom of the skirt and not bright at all. Because of this I am only giving it 2 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Illuminated Porcelain Angels hardly Illuminate The 2 of 3 I received, Angel with Violin, and Angel with flute are lovely to look at. The part that is not so lovely is the cheaply put together battery holder on the bottom. It has a cheesy flimsy cover that you have to unscrew. The angels hold 3 AA Batteries, not 2. When you finally get them to work, which is not easy because the cover is not tight enough to hold the batteries in place, they hardly show any light at all. I had to turn the light totally off to even see any light. I took the batteries out, because it wasn't worth it and nothing to show for them. I will enjoy these angels without the so called lighted skirt because they are very pretty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sad Bought 2 last year. This year only one will light. Kinda expensive for only a few weeks of working. Have many of Valeries things and love them. There is no way to get in to check bulb batteries are fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Imported I do not own this item and this is why: I have purchased many of Valerie’s items in the past but I am now being more conscious of where things are made. Most of Valerie’s products say imported which, I have come to know after asking a few times, means China. I prefer that my money stay here in the USA instead of some other country. And QVC, I recently searched the website for “made in America “ and found TWELVE items!! That is just plain ridiculous!! QVC needs to do much better than that!
