Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrade from Google Wifi to Nest After figuring out that I needed a factory reset on my Google Wifi router, I was able to set up an augmented mesh to include my new Nest router, a Nest AP, and my existing Google Wifi router/APs. I'm seeing better performance on my connected devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage, I love it! We live in a townhouse, and using the default router that came with our ISP, we used to have bad coverage in certain areas of the house. Putting this next to the existing router, the wifi-coverage is amazing and reliable. Definitely recommend the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good at all In there beginning these were fine. I had 5 routers in a 3000 sq ft home. Would drop so often and just have no signal at all. The modern was done if I had wired my computer to it. Had to go on the system and day I was moving it and then it would work for sometime although I never moved it.Finally bought an Eero 6 system with 2 routers and 3 points and a world of difference.Sorry Google you lost this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for plug and play mesh networking Greatly simplifies setup and management of wireless and mesh networking. Unfortunately if features are not exposed by the simple interface, then they are not available, which may be a drawback for more advanced users. Overall the Nest Wifi is a great product that allows for a low-touch roll out and I could see recommending it to a majority of consumers, though the high cost may be a barrier to entry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy set up but not great performance Got Google WiFi on recommendations from friends/online. We moved, and upgraded to Nest WiFI. Set up and admin is easy, but our coverage and reliability are iffy at best. We live in an older (1970s) 2 level house ~4000sqft. I started with Nest 3 pack (router 2 points), and router is plugged directly into gigabit modem, but coverage wasn't great in house so added the 2 older Google points (5 total). Mesh, Coverage and service was still spotty with wifi drops occurring. Added 3 more points which is practically one every other room which should be overkill, but mesh tests are still weak-good only, and some wifi devices lose connection periodically (cameras, etc).Maybe just not a great product for our specific situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nest solution We now have a good signal on the second floor! Before we had spotty reception and the tv streaming would cut out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Faster than Google WiFi I replaced my old Google WiFi hubs with the Nest version. They are faster, but seem flakier. I have to restart my network every 2-3 days to get my internet connection back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Constantly dropping I bought this hoping to get better coverage in my 4,000 sq foot home. So far it’s been terrible. I’m constantly suffering from dropped WiFi signal. If I reset the access point/router it’ll work for 10 or 15 min before dropping again. What’s frustrating is that it will show full WiFi bars but nothing will load. The only solution I’ve found that’ll work is disconnecting the acres point and only using the main router. Based on this, my guess is it’s a mesh problem. It’s super frustrating that I spent so much money for the mesh system but it doesn’t work.
