Farberware Classic Series - 1-Qt Covered Straining Saucepan is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from fabulous little pot that packs a stench I love this little pot for making tea and chai! The spouts make it easy to pour hot liquid into a cup, and the lid filter strains the tea leaves and spices from the liquid well enough. It’s the prefect size to make two cups. However, I recently moved. At my new place, the pot sometimes emits a TERRIBLE odor if I boil water for more than five minutes. It smells like a toxic combination of manure, urine and ammonia. It seems like the handle is heating up too much and emitting an incredibly strong odor that mixes with the steam from the boiling water or chai to permeate my entire kitchen (and work-from-home office which is in the kitchen during the COVID-19 pandemic) with an awful stench. I suspect this is happening because the stove in my new place, which is gas, doesn’t have any small burners. They’re all a little too big to work well with a small pot. The flames lick the sides of the little pot, which is probably creating too much heat for the plastic handle to handle. I want to love this pot but I might have to throw it away to ensure breathable air in my home. I’m experimenting with moving the pot to one side of the burner, so the handle is farther from the heat of the flames. So far this is working better. It no longer emits plumes of toxic-smelling fumes, but the handle does still stink when the pot is hot. Seems like Faberware needs to find a better heat-resistant handle material or create a slightly larger distance on the handle between the metal and the plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little pot! I am replacing my very old Teflon style pots and pans and decided to try a stainless sauce pot. I LOVE the lid with the side drainage holes and the lighter weight of this product. I am ordering another 1 quart and a 2 quart sauce pot. My "only" negative comment is that the lid is also stainless so I can't see when it starts boiling. Other than this, I love this little pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saucepan ever! I’ve had the 2 quart sauce pan classic for over 5 years. And still loving it! Other pans, frying or sauce have come and gone. My Farberware is still here! Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A kitchen Classic! I had the opportunity to try Farberware's Classic Stainless Steel 1-Quart Covered Straining Saucepan. I am in the kitchen seven days a week, as I enjoy cooking dinner for my family daily and also bake frequently. Farberware brand never seems to disappoint. This 1-Quart covered saucepan features a mirrored stainless steel finish and an aluminum core. The saucepan heats up quickly and evenly on my gas stovetop, and is the perfect size for preparing/heating small sides, such as vegetables, sauces, soup, etc. My favorite feature of Farberware's Classic Stainless Steel 1-Quart Covered Straining Saucepan is the straining holes in the products lid. The lid is equipped with holes on two sides; one side small drainage holes and the other larger. This feature enables quick and easy one-handed straining, without having to utilize a second appliance (strainer). The handle of this Farberware cookware remains cool throughout the cooking process. Farberware's Classic Stainless Steel 1-Quart Covered Straining Saucepan is oven safe up to 350 degrees. I highly recommend this product to anybody that is looking for a classic and high-quality piece of cookware for a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most used pot in my kitchen. This Farberware 1 Quart Straining Sauce Pan has become the most used pot in our kitchen. From heating up soup to cooking and straining vegetables. I love that all I have to do is hold the lid in place, tilt the pot and strain away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had more room in my cabinets, I would buy more! This pan is so useful for so many things. Great for a small family. Also great for warming leftovers. There are only two of us and it suits our needs so well. The strainer is great for veggies of all kinds. I usually cook them in a no salt chicken broth rather than butter or salted water since we both have dietary restrictions.
