I really love the shades of color for Black women. It's such a large variety to choose from. I selected the Nutmeg and it fit my skin tone to a T. It goes on easily and provides long lasting coverage. The only issue I have is that if you touch your face, you will have little color fingerprints everywhere. The foundation comes off way too easily. If they could do a color stay or something; this product would be a 10+++!

I never liked BareMinerals Ready. I found it too heavy and just not flattering on the skin. The original loose minerals (NOT MATTE) is wonderful when used over a well-primed face, including a light layer of Paula's Choice Oil. I do like barePro so far. I gave it 4 stars since I haven't used it that long to give it 5 stars. I don't know that it will consistently perform for me yet. Whoever said the stores won't return products is wrong. Both Sephora and Ulta have no problem whatsoever returning foundation or any other product, with a longer return time than the Q.. If this doesn't perform as well as I think it has so far, I have no problem returning it to Ulta. There's no way to pick a color by computer, in my opinion. I wouldn't buy something as personal as foundation as a gift for anyone else.

When I received an order recently a sample of barePRO was included. I loved the sample so much I immediately ordered this wonderful product. It goes on so smoothly and offers the amount of coverage you want. It is easier to apply than any other foundation and the brush that either comes with it or can be ordered separately is super.

Ready foundation doesn't crack up in it's container and covers better with the usage of less product. It, too, is a soft matte finish...face looks so flawless that I often receive comments on how beautiful my 76 yrs. old skin is...a neighbor just told me that I had "angel skin" (LOL, whatever that is since angels are spirit bieings that have no skin...nah, I knew what she meant and you do, too:-).and It takes so little that I'm still using the Ready foundation
I purchased a year ago...where .bare Pro arrived cracked, enough to use
on my face at least 10X fell out in chunks and loose powder in the sink! For me, it is a waste of money and I am returning.. Since it arrived in sad shape, I know QVC will refund even my shipping expenses. I will continue to use
Ready Foundation with confidence and will reorder it before too long.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sicilian1 The best of all Bare Minerals foundations!
I purchased this before QVC offered it and paid $30.00 without the brush so this is a wonderful value. I don't understand any negative reviews on this foundation, Bare Minerals has knocked it out of the park with this. It is light and gives an airbrushed look and there's plenty of coverage unless you want to wear a mask of foundation, it's better to use a concealer on stubborn areas. It does not settle into fine lines and wrinkles and I love the look, I never thought I would find a powder foundation better than It Cosmetics. The color choice is wonderful though I do think it's better to choose the color in a store and then come back and order from QVC, It Cosmetics color choices are minimal and one color is too light and the next too dark. I have light olive skin and I use light natural, I would have made a mistake had I not tried this in a store first.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lyttlewyng barePRO Performance Wear Powder Foundation
I've worn BE foundation for many years as well as the original Bisque multi purpose concealer. I was eager to try the new barePRO foundation but with so many shades to choose from, I tried to match the foundation to the original Bisque concealer. Bisque is described as a cool beige, therefore, I went with Cool Beige 10 in the barePRO foundation. As much as BE foundation shades are somewhat forgiving, Cool Beige 10 is darker than Bisque concealer.
I'm okay with it and can mix it with other BE foundations should I decide to keep it, however, what was more troublesome is that the pressed powder arrived with a crack and with each application with either brush or sponge, the pressed foundation broke apart even with gentle use. It is no longer a pressed foundation. My options are to grind it down into loose form or return the product altogether since I'm still within the thirty days.
Overall, the foundation is nice and has a very smooth application. I would try it again and hopefully, next time, receive a pristine product.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Matnkat5 Cakey, drying not very good coverage
I will say that they did a good description on how to find your color match, my shade was right on. The only thing that I don't like about it, is that it's cakey, drying, made my skin look older than it is. I use great primers too. The first time I used it, I used my Paula's choice serum and moisturizer and then my Algenist primer, and my skin still looked dry, and honestly, I thought the coverage was pretty poor. The second day I tried, I used Smashbox photo finish oil primer, same. And also, it seemed like my blush/bronzer and highlighter didn't go on very well on it. It's like it just "blew off" my face. I do like the original loose foundation, it's just very messy. I thought the Ready foundation was better than this, but it works well for a lot of people, so I would give it a try if you have oil/normal skin, but I have normal/dry skin, and this just didn't work for me.
