Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It! I purchased it and then read the reviews . I worried it would be to complicated for me . I don't understand why some people have had trouble. I have used all the attachments and am really pleased. I picked up the French fry disk and ice / Parmesan cheese disk and I am set . 01-13-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better then Expected! After reading some of the reviews, wasn't sure if this would be a wise purchase. Looked at other brands that offered the same functions and found they were much pricier.....out of my budget! Kept coming back to this KitchenAid. and glad I took the plunge! It is VERY well made and I'm sure with no abuse, it will hold up just fine. The instructions were very clear and some parts were even labeled on how to use. I'm 74 and NOT mechanically inclined, but with a little common sense, figured it all out. Yes, there are lots of pieces, but very simple to grab and use, once you know how, and they all store nicely in their box. Doesn't take long to learn how to place veggies or what ever, and what works better. Does it's job well and Q.V.C offers the best price. LOVE IT! 01-11-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Nice Food Processor I was skeptical about this after reading a lot of bad reviews. In fact I also ordered the Cuisinart 13 cup food processor with dicing kit, just to compare. Well, I really wanted to like the Cuisinart better, but after a side by side comparison, the Kitchen Aid is so much more sturdy and has a lot more good features. For one, the plastic that the work bowl is made from is about 3x thicker on the Kitchen Aid (KA). The Cuisinart 13 cup is very thin and feels like it will easily break. The KA is much heavier and feels more sturdy, has a much larger feed tube. I can put in a whole potato sideways in it. Not with the Cuisinart. You have to cut things up even when using the largest feed tube. The Kitchen aid is much quieter too. The only thing that I didn't like is the buttons are a bit hard to push. Also you really need to take time to read the instructions so you put everything together right, then it all works vey well. I don't find it hard to clean, I just rinse if off right after use and throw it all in the dishwasher. I also did not find the lid hard to remove. it was actually much easier than the Cuisinart. So Now I made my decision, I'm keeping the Kitchen Aid, sending back the Cuisinart. The Kitchen Aid is just made a lot better. 01-05-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a powerhouse processor This is my second food processor - the first had been a Cuisinart. I prefer this one greatly because of the feeding tube size variation, full range of blades included, motor power, and quietness. This processor was a holiday gift and I have already used all blades for various recipes. I found it simple to assemble once I read the instructions - and it was a snap to clean, both by hand and when I put it in the dishwasher. It is wonderfully efficient and I really enjoyed using it. The first 2 recipes I made with this were almond butter and a salsa. The batches were completed so quickly that I was sure I must have forgotten to do something. I am so pleased with this machine and with how truly user friendly I found it to be. 01-01-17
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great with shortcomings I like this very much. However the discs don't seem to work with the small work bowl. Dry disappointing. In addition, I contacted Kitchenaid regarding this and was told the discs are compatible with the small work bowl. If anyone can show me how to get the lid on with small work bowl and disc in place I would be eternally grateful. In lieu of that would a smaller disc work? 12-27-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not impressed Sad to say I had to get a replacement after owning this processor for only 2 years almost to the day. I haven't used it much because it is so complicated and now the blade has fused to the post. I called Customer Care and had to re-purchase a refurbished machine. Very disappointed with this machine. The Cuisinart I have in my second home is a much better machine. I would never have bought this thing but QVC made it look like such a good machine and a good price I went for it. Very disappointed. 12-26-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken Bought the item as a Christmas gift and when opened was broken. No foods made with it for us this Christmas. 12-25-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not good for tomatoes! We have a large garden. I thought this would come in handy when dicing over 200 lbs of tomatoes. Boy was I wrong! It's takes longer to clean it than just dice them by hand. We followed the correct fill line and followed the directions. No it still spewed juice out the sides and the bottom also. I couldn't figure out what was stinking in our kitchen. Well, we had to completely take apart the entire machine to clean it up. I'm very disappointed...it's not cheap. I'll never buy another KitchenAid product again. I'm back to Cuisinart. 12-24-16
