Summer Peach Gratin

Blue Jean Chef

Ingredients

  • 6 – 8 peaches, cut into chunks (about 4 cups)
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 4 – 5 slices of bread (should equal about 1–1/2 cups of breadcrumbs)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Combine the peaches, sugar, and salt together and transfer into one casserole or four individual gratin pans.

Pulse the bread slices, brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon together in a food processor until the crumbs are coarse. Toss the breadcrumb mixture with the melted butter and sprinkle all over the peaches.

Bake in the 400°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the peaches are soft, the crumbs are brown, and any liquid around the peaches is bubbling.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and enjoy the summer!
