Champagne Pineapple Glaze

Sparkling Wine Pineapple Glaze

Serves: 2-1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup Champagne, sparkling wine or sparkling cider
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 8-oz can crushed pineapple
  • 2-1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Preparation

In a medium-sized sauce pan, whisk together the pineapple juice, sparkling wine, brown sugar, crushed pineapple, cornstarch, mustard and cloves.

Add the butter.

Over medium heat while constantly stirring, bring the mixture up to a simmer until thickened and butter has melted.
