Pear Prosecco & Cardamom Sorbet

Serves: 1 Pint

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled, seeded, and chopped into half-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup pear nectar
  • 1/2 cup Prosecco
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • A healthy pinch of ground cardamom

Preparation

Put all the ingredients into a small sauce pot.

Bring up to a simmer and continue to cook until the pears are soft, about 8–10 minutes.

Pull off of heat and let cool to room temperature.

Put mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.

Into a bowl, pour the blended mix thru a fine mesh sieve, scraping until it is all through.

Pour the mix into an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
