Layered Brownie Sundae

David Venable

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 6 store-bought brownie bites
  • 4 Tbsp salted caramel topping
  • 3 Tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 2 tsp melted butter
  • 4 Tbsp hot fudge topping
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream or whipped topping, for garnish
  • 2 each maraschino cherries with stems

Preparation

Cut 6 brownie bites into halves and leave 2 whole. In a small microwave safe bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of salted caramel topping with 3 tablespoons of chopped walnuts and 2 teaspoons of melted butter. Microwave for 25 seconds.

In another microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, melt your hot fudge topping until it is a pourable consistency. Be careful to do it in ten-second intervals in the microwave. Otherwise, it will burn.

Put 1 tablespoon of the hot fudge and 2 brownie halves in the bottom of each sundae glass. Then put 2 scoops of ice cream, the remaining brownie halves, and another 2 scoops of ice cream.

Top each sundae with 1-1/2 tablespoon of the caramel walnuts, a dollop of whipped topping, and 1 tablespoon of hot fudge topping. Finish it with a cherry on top & a brownie bite!

Cook's Notes

Swap out the vanilla for your favorite ice cream flavor or combine a few different flavors. Just have fun with it!
