☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Five Stars! Let me explain. I’ve been looking for an “affordable” electrical motor rise up desk. For one, quality desks are very expensive. Affordability and cost effectiveness sacrifices craftsmanship. Affordable means the product is not typically not well made or made of quality materials.
Enter Uncaged Ergonomics, they’ve been making desks since 2010. They know a thing or two about Desks.
From receiving the shipment, it is very well protected and packaged. The parts are heavy and sturdy. Not too hard to put together. However, you will need basic knowledge to operate a drill and take accurate measurements.
This desk is fun. We had a lot of fun piecing it into shape. I could not be happier with my new desk. It holds my two 32” monitors with ease on risers and have plenty of workspace to get all my work done. I totally recommend it.
The desktop is fair quality. You can purchase a glass-top replacement or invest on a desk-top with a beautiful finish if you are into it.
The desk-top that comes with this desk is a fair end ok quality MDF(Medium-density fibreboard) in lame terms engineered wood.
Do not lift the desk by the desktop. The construction of the frame is solid. The screws into the MDF will give to the weight. Push and lift from the frame.
You can buy wheels from the manufacturer(inexpensive, highly recommended). I repeat: DO NOT move or pull on the desk from the table top.
Well, in closing I’ve had this desk for the last 6 months. It is a joy and an asset to my office. If you need one this will work. I am really happy I found it here on QVC.
