Excellent Product.
After reading many reviews on Pole Chainsaws, I am very happy I decided on this Sun Joe SWJ803E Electric model. This pole chainsaw is simple and easy to use with a nice reach when the pole is open all the way. One would say, it is a bit top-heavy, but this is expected when you extend the full length of the pole. This Chainsaw is well made and it cuts limbs off trees like butter. Very happy with this Sun-Joe Pole Chainsaw and its price.

Do Not Buy
I used this saw twice and it broke the second time. It had plenty of oil and being a senior female, I cant figure out what is wrong. Very disappointed as I needed this saw to work and help me around the yard.

Mighty Moe - Sun Joe!
Tough little saw! I recently purchased the SWJ803E-CMO 10" 8.0 Amp Pole Chain Saw. Being a retired Fire Captain, I was a little hesitant on the ability of this pole saw. I have already used my saw twice, on two different types of trees for extended periods of time on both trees. One was a Canary Island Palm tree, and the second is the Maple tree in the added pictures.
The Sun Joe cut right through both trees like butter. The maple tree branch was a good 10" plus, and the Sun Joe had no problem cutting through it!
Love the saw, however, be mindful of two things: First thing, the oil reservoir will consume approximately 0.15 fl oz (4ml) of oil in one minute (and they mean it)! I had to refill the oil reservoir two times during the cutting of the Maple tree, and once during the cutting of the Palm tree. Periodically, through the usage just keep on eye on the oil reservoir, and top it off when it drops to the 1/4 mark on the tank.
The second thing, after finishing the Maple tree, servicing the saw, i.e., cleaning out the chain/sprocket cover, etc. I noticed the chain tensioner screw was gone! Somehow, the screw backed itself out of the pin, holding the cutting bar. The good news was the chain tension stayed in place! The bad news was it gave me no indication that the chain tensioner screw had come loose and fell out. Resulting in me not being able to find the screw in all of the debris.
I called customer service, and they are sending me a 3 pack of screw tensioners. I asked if this was a common problem, and she said no. However, I happened to read "PJohn's" review from a year ago, and he had the same problem with the screw backing out and losing it.
It would be nice if the saw had a cap to cover over the chain tensioner screw, to mitigate this kind of problem.
The Sun Joe is a solid pole saw though, and I would buy another one, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

My little Helper when kids are not around!!!
This is so easy to use, l do not have to wait for help. So at least l can do my chores without all the effort. No waiting for my son to help me, so l love it. I can actually get it done myself.

Poor Shipping
Ordered this because it looked easy to use. It arrived in a box that had been nearly sliced in half and the ends had gobs of tape as if it had been opened then resealed. Have not tried using it yet because it needs bar and chain oil before it can be started. This is NOT included with the item. Not sure if I will keep it or not.

tried a friends and liked it so much, i had to get my own to trim the trees in the yard a border. works great and i am now able to reach limbs from the ground without too much effort

CHAIN IS TOO LONG
Thought I didn’t understand the assembly, so I hired a handyman to put the Tree Poles Saw together. But he confirmed that it was not me, the chain is just too long and will not turn nor stay assembled. Very unhappy – returning it.
