Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I adore my French oven... it is chic on my stove top and wonderful to use. It is my go to tool for staple week night recipes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shiny Beautiful Chef Dream [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautifully made and high quality, would rather it had a matte handle on top instead of shiny, but I understand they are interchangeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from French oven. It is a Christmas gift. But I am sure the recipient will love it. With the pandemic I thank you for it arriving before christmas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential Staub is my all time favorite cast iron enamel cookware. Made in France, never needs seasoning and works on my induction cooktop. Oven safe to 500 degrees which allows for perfect browning. The lids on this pan are slightly different than the traditional flat lids on the other Staub pieces I own. The Essential pan lid is slightly domed containing a chistera shaped design which self bastes the same way the spikes in the traditional lid do. This design makes for a lighter lid that still has self basting properties. The best of both worlds, and reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential! Can't live without this pan! Perfect size for my family. Great for cooking and baking. The Essential pan is not quite as heavy as the more traditional Staub Cocotte because the lid is a different design and has less weight. Made in France, Staub is so durable that it used in many 5 star restaurant throughout the world. Gas, glass and induction capable, also oven safe up to 500 degrees. This pan will definitely be passed down to my daughter's, daughter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Weight Love this Essential French oven. All the benefits of cast iron enamel, but a little lighter than the Staub traditional cocotte. Great for making stews, soups and stocks. The caste iron is perfect for oatmeal, grains, and rice. Great absorption and no scorching. Truly a terrific addition to my collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Birthday This was a birthday gift for my daughter. She likes my Le Creuset. When i compared the two i liked that the lid has a tighter closure and the lid lets all the steam back into the pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great shape for great results This new take on the Staub cocotte is great. The softer shape gives fits in nicely in my kitchen. I still get all the benefits of a traditional Staub piece, even browning, easy release, and self basting. The curved shape makes it easy to stir and it does a phenominal job cooking grains and legumes.
