Gorgeous, supple,soft leather
I ordered the 40 (9) medium wine color, so beautiful and the fit was true to size. Sadly, with the outside zipper, my lumbar fusion simply will not flex to allow me to reach that zipper.
I am returning them in tears and ordering my second pair of the Mizrahi scalloped leather ankle boots in wine instead, as I already have the chestnut and they are also very nice with an inside ankle zipper. If you order this Spring Step boot, you will not be disappointed, it is so soft, pliable and has a rich color.

Beautiful Boots
The leather is outrageously soft, beautiful, and chic. Spring Step did it again. I highly recommend this brand to fashionable women who will pay more for quality. They are also very comfortable.

Beautiful--but...
This is a beautiful boot! The leather is soft, the look is chic (nice heel height too). Unfortunately, I will have to return them because I thought they would be a chocolate brown (like in the picture above); the color is definitely more honey vs. chocolate. The search is still on...

Beautiful, comfortable, stylish
I love boots, but rarely pay this much; however, these boots were worth every penny. The color is gorgeous - a black cherry - the leather is like butter and they are extremely comfortable.. The styling is very classic and simple and the small cuff adds flexibility. I would love these in a riding boot height shaft. If you want to wear them with thick socks, I bought my usual size 8.5 and they are perfect, but if you want to wear them with thicker socks or layer tights with socks, you may want to size up 1/2 size. They also run a bit narrow, which was perfect for me.

But had to return for the size 9. I ordered the size 39 but my orthotic for arch support would not fit. Plenty of room in the toe box but no padding under the heel area. The leather is gorgeous. It is lined in the softest leather and the brown color is stunning. Hope the size 9 works for me.

Like BUTTER
I just received these boots in the 9.5-10 and the leather is so very soft. They offer enough room for a light orthotic, if needed, and they offer tremendous room in the toe box. I've not worn them for any length of time but, initially, they are gorgeous and feel wonderful on. I was looking for a nice ankle boot for jeans and slacks - perfect. As I continue on the road of aging, I find that my ankles are always cold in the cooler weather...these will be great with a pair of thinner wool socks or tights. There is a nice, what looks like fleece- type lining.
