We worked with Southern Patio to craft an umbrella the way market and shore umbrellas used to be made--and the result is truly impressive. Sturdily constructed with a wooden pole and frame, the umbrella stands 8'H and opens to a generously oversized 9' in diameter. Eight wooden ribs give the overhead canopy its distinctive octagonal shape. Choose yours from six decorator colors: the substantial, 180-gram polyester fabric has been salt-spray tested and is solution-dyed to resist fading.
The fashionable goldtone crank is functional, too: use it to open and close the umbrella smoothly to provide shade on demand. One push of a button tilts the umbrella, so you can keep the sun blocked throughout the day. The pole--a standard 1-1/2" in diameter--fits the opening at the center of most patio tables. Or, add your own base, and you've got a freestanding umbrella.
