Radio Systems Drinkwell The Original Pet Fountain is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well... After I learned how to clean it. Initially I was frustrated with this fountain. I thought it was a bit loud and the water flow had reduced over time. Then I realized I might need to take the cleaning instructions more seriously. I now clean the fountain once every week or two and that includes taking it apart and cleaning the intake vents on the motor. Since I started doing that the fountain has been quiet and trouble free. Like many cats, my cat greatly prefers to drink from running water. This fountain is getting the job done...since I learned how to clean it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The cat loves it. I purchased this so my kitty would drink more water. She was skeptical at first, but now she only drinks from this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! If properly maintained- the pump actually comes full apart and should be cleaned every couple of weeks- this fountain goes forever. Cannot stress the need to take the pump completely apart each time you clean though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I bought this over 2 years ago and love it. My dog Rosie preferred to drink from outdoor fountain rather than her water bowl, so we found this fountain and now she drinks clear, clean water daily. It stopped working on Christmas day this year, and I was worried that I would have to replace the pump, Even went so far to write the information down, until I came across the pump cleaning video on your site. No need to buy a new pump, Rosie's is working just fine. I like the sound of the falling water, too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product I have had this product for my cats for about twelve years. The only problem I had was that I put the reservoir in the dishwasher and it melted out of shape. Totally my problem. I ordered another one and have been using it for two or three years. The pump seems to have worn out now, and since my cat won't use anything else to drink out of, I need to repair or replace my fountain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same *Original Fountain* I have owned an *Original Fountain* for many years, and it was time to replace it. Although the picture displayed on the web page matched my original fountain, the replacement I purchased was a model SKU # PWW00-13704. The new model has a 12V submersible pump, compared to the through-wall 120V pump on the older design. The noticeable difference is the flow control leaver is black plastic, and sticks out about an inch into the water bowl area. Adjusted to the lowest flow setting, the water flow is too much for the filter to handle, and the water flows over the top of the filter. So why even bother using a filter if the water bypasses it? The problem I see is that the new design water pump moves too much water, and the flow rate cannot be adjusted down enough to accommodate the filter. The new pump unit appears to be cheap in design and quality, and probably easily broken when cleaning. There is no reason for the flow control leaver to protrude so far out into the bowl area. For the **Original** Original Fountain I would rate it 4 stars, because the pump is difficult to remove for cleaning. For the **New** Original Fountain I rate it 2 stars because it just doesn't have the mechanical quality of the original design.
