Philips Hue Outdoor Motion Sensor is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless I bought this and the required hub. Neither will connect. App is extremely frustrating as well. In the effort to make things simple during set up, the lack of ability to manually fix any issues has seriously compromised this product. Will look for better options.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hue Outdoor Sensor Says it's HomeKit compatible but no HomeKit code on the box, instructions or device. Had to set it up in Hue app, but to use it in HomeKit you can't use it in Hue app, yo sync with HomeKit and can't use it in the Hue app. Worked in HomeKit about one day, and now "This accessory is not responding." I go to Hue app, to sync accessory with HomeKit, I get the 'check mark' but it still doesn't work in HomeKit. Really poor integration, I bought it for HomeKit compatibility, probably wasted my money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hue Outdoor sensor Very easy to mount and configure! I did have to find YouTube to figure out if battery change was difficult, that was easy to find. Very useful device.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Built in features need to share them with Homekit Purchased this about a week ago to use with Apples HomeKit automation system. One of the main reason that I purchased the Hue Outdoor sensor was due to its 3 included sensors - The Motion sensor, The Light sensor and Temperature sensor. Sadly, the only sensor that HomeKit has access to is the motion sensor, severely limiting what can be done. Had I known this in advance, I most likely wouldn't have purchased it. I will keep it and hope that Hue & Apple will provide fixes to allow to use this to its full capabilities. At this point, I can only use the Motion sensor and have one major issue with this sensor. My house is about 10-15 feet from the sidewalk and 20-25 feet form the street. Even at the lowest sensitivity, cars driving down the street are triggering the sensor. I will try a couple of different locations, and maybe some tape of the top of the sensor window. Hopefully, that works.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrated during setup Bought three of these, two came needing replacement batteries per Hue App. While opening to get batteries, had to use the screws to pull off the backplate as no tab is available. Unit is so well sealed, the screws pulled out (stripped).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to update an old electrical lighting sys We bought this older (1917) home earlier in the year. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on with our lighting system while looking to install dimmers. I found only thin gauge wires in each switch box, and I finally figured out that we had an old system where low voltage momentary switches turn the lights ON or OFF via a relay at each fixture. That system is still being manufactured! I realize that dimmers were not possible without rewiring the house, until I discovered Hue. I’ll admit that it was a bit of a hurtle to figure out what Hue is, but once I did I ordered five lights (with bridge) for our dining room to see if we liked them. Next came a porch light, side floodlights, two bedrooms, bathroom, and back floodlights. Everywhere we needed ease of use and quality of light. I did get smart buttons or dimmers for each room, and that works fine. My wife has warned me that she will worry if I’m not available to trouble shoot the system someday, but she does use it now easily. I’m not worried. :) We will eventually rewire the house, but the Hue system will remain. The Hue system has allowed us to put the rewiring down a few rungs on the very long to-do ladder.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sensor While Routine So if my front lights are on a routine to come on at a certain time, and have set on dim all night, can the sensor or app be set that when tripped, it adjusts lights to the highest setting from the dim setting? If lights are on is there a purpose for the outdoor sensor?
