Too Heavy For Clip On
I bought these earrings in the clipon option. They are beautiful, really the perfect size diamonds for such a design in my view. Despite the small diamonds they are sparkly and stand out on the ear, especially with my short blond hair.
The problem was that the amount of gold is so generous that the clip was set quite tightly, I assume to hold them securely on the ear. This made the earring too uncomfortable to wear. To be fair, I don't think there is anything else the designer could have done due to the wonderful weight of the earring. I just think this particular design isn't suited to the clipon option. So, reluctantly, I returned them.

Match my ring
I got the ring (J347423) that goes with these earrings ..I love the ring ..great gold color ..the earrings are very nice weight and look high end .. very well made ..they are larger then I thought they would be ..I think someone said the size of a nickel and they were right ..they cost more then any I have ever gotten ..but you can see the quality and beautiful gold color and they are solid gold ..I feel like they are priced right for the market ..the Jewelry store would charge twice the price for them ....I say if they are your style and like the way they look you will get your moneys worth ..I like them on me ..right size and beautiful gold color ..the diamonds give a little sparkle . They are a everyday earring ...just once in a life time pair of earrings for my budget and I think I will keep them .

Great Earrings!
Only one point kept me from leaving 5 stars. You can actually see the back of the earring that attaches to the clip post. Does not detract from the overall appearance but definitely noticeable. Surprising in that Judith Ripka is such a stickler for detail. The clip post backs are not only secure but very comfortable. Love these earrings!

tiny but cute
Yes, it's true: The gold hoops are thin, and the diamonds are tiny,
BUT I love them. These hoops are beautifully made, the
diamonds sparkle, and I find I wear them almost every day.
They're elegant and very comfortable, and they show up.
Expensive but, to me, worth it.

I was very excited about owning a pair of Judith Ripka 14kt gold hoop earrings. I read the online description carefully so I knew the earrings (and diamonds) would be very small. When I opened the box (which I paid expedited shipping for so I could wear them to a conference) I was astonished and not in a good way. They really are tiny. For reference, they are the size of a nickle. The twisted rope design is lovely and the omega backs are more substantial gold-wise than the rest of the hoop. Overall they look well-made. Each of the bezels are approximately 3mm across and the diamonds themselves approximately 1.5mm. If you own Judith's 14kt heart ring with 1/6 ct of diamonds I think you will be disappointed with these earrings as the ring has the diamond weight all in one piece versus split over two earrings making the size nearly minute. I know am paying for the designer name, but in this case it just is not worth the nearly $900 price. Pay the extra money for Judith's 14kt gold, diamond, gemstone Monaco ring for a WOW piece of jewelry. Unfortunately, I will be returning the earrings.
