Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use I received this free for my unbiased review. I have never used a french press coffee maker before, but I found this very easy to use. I heated the water in the microwave and added less coffee than the instructions recommended, because it just seemed like a lot of grounds to add, and glad I did, it was plenty strong but a really good cup of coffee. I've only had french press once before, and it is definitely a different taste than regular brew coffee. I generally drink my coffee black, but added half and half and sugar, and it was a nice afternoon pick me up. The directions are fairly straightforward. Looking forward to trying different coffee blends and making "fancy" coffee for much less money! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well I had a friend who had told me about a coffee press but I had never used one before. I tried out this one and it is a good product! The frother attachment works great! The coffee press works great as well and it is very easy to use. The only thing I noticed was the handle was a little flimsy, but not on a major scale by any means. I really like that this is dishwashable as well! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use After having a little difficulty with the rubber seal on the lid not wanting to separate from the inside of the pot, I brewed a pot of coffee with this press. Wow! It was very full bodied and delicious, plus it was hot! I didn't expect it to maintain the temperature as well as it, did while brewing. The instructions were well written and easy to understand and was quite simple to make coffee. I think the caffeine level was much higher using this method than regular drip coffee and I will definitely be using this to make my afternoon "pick me up". I think the seal is the weakest point of this item which is why I only gave it 4 stars, and it is not available for purchase by itself. Appears to only be available with the purchase of a new lid. But overall, it does what it is suppose to do, at a very reasonable price. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good French Press Very good French Press with tons of features (like the hot chocolate feature). Size makes it versatile from making single cups to coffee for the whole family. Great value for money. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for serious French Press drinkers Hamilton Beach sent this to me free for review. Opinions expressed are my own. This French Press has good styling and a fun chocolate frother, but it's very cheaply made. It's definitely not a durable item. Handle it carefully and keep it away from children. The pot's glass carafe is thin and its black plastic framework is flimsy. Instructions for changing the inserts are not clear, making the process annoying until you become accustomed to it. Nothing is said about the black silicone gasket that fits into a groove in the lid's base. It looks like a heavy rubber band and it slips out of place. Do not discard it because it securely tightens the otherwise loose lid. However, for a rock-bottom price at big box stores, this is a good pot to learn on if you want to experiment with French Press coffee. The frother insert works with both hot and cold chocolate and it's a useful accessory. Be sure that the coffee you use is coarsely ground specifically for French Press. Do not use fine drip grinds. They will deposit dregs and grit while brewing. I'm looking forward to trying a tasty-looking hot chocolate recipe in the user's manual. It's made with mini-chocolate chips and marshmallows. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work for me The carafe cracked the first time I attempted to use it. I am sad to say that this one will not be joining the other four Hamilton Beach products that I regularly use in my kitchen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to Love It Small plastic pieces needed to be unscrewed in order to assemble the coffee pot, but they seemed to be melted together. We tried several methods to assemble with no success. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coffee press Have never used a coffee press before but have heard great things about them. It was shipped to me and was well packaged. Instructions were easy to follow and I have a coffee bean grinder so I ground some coffee, heated the water and let the press go to work. The Starbucks coffee I used tasted even better than usual so I am well pleased!! Easy to use and clean. Good buy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
