Introducing Calista's new drying tool that takes an innovative approach to a classic hair dryer: the Airshot Hair Dryer. The Airshot was created with an advanced technology system, as well as a unique feature that allows you to choose the type of blow-dry you prefer.

The Airshot's Smart Sliding Nozzle allows you to adjust the speed and concentration at which you dry your hair by activating two modes of drying, Full-Shot and Style-Shot. Full-Shot Mode is activated when the Smart Sliding Nozzle is not extended. Full-Shot Mode uses maximum air speed in a concentrated airflow for fast drying--perfect for the beginning of the blow-dry process. Style-Shot mode is activated when the Smart Sliding Nozzle is extended. Style-Shot mode uses a less concentrated and wider airflow for more even drying, allowing you to style hair while drying. A memory function automatically saves the last setting used, so there is no need to readjust to your favorite setting every time you turn on the dryer.

How do I use it: Use the Airshot on damp, towel-dried hair. Before choosing drying mode, make sure the nozzle is exactly aligned to 90F or 180F, depending on the position you want the airflow. Choose your desired air speed and temperature. Begin by drying hair in Full-Shot mode with the nozzle not extended. For fine or damaged hair, use the low-medium temperature setting. For coarse or resistant hair, use the medium-high temperature setting. Continue drying in Full-Shot mode until hair is three-quarters of the way dry. Next, press the nozzle release button to activate Style-Shot mode. Style each section of hair using a round or other styling brush for five to ten seconds with preferred temperature and air speed setting, then hit the Cool Shot button and continue drying for five to ten seconds to allow the cool air to set your style. Make sure hair is completely dried before continuing styling or applying product.

Calista AIRSHOT Plasma System Hair Dryer is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dyson- WannaBe Seriously? It’s annoying to exploit a solid design with a copycat overpriced hairdryer. Hair is frizzy and calista is not Dyson. Come on QVC- you can do better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dried out my hair. I realized after using this for almost three months my hair became dried out and not healthy. The same results I had with the Dyson hair dryer. I then purchased a second T3 cura my results were immediate no more dried out unhealthy hair. I did own the first T3 for 10 years until it died. This might be good for those with long thick textured hair

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Going back to old hair dryer It drys my hair faster, but my hair is frizzier after using this hair dryer. I am not sure why?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not For Fine Hair I have baby fine wavy hair. On the lowest air speed setting, it was still too much for my hair. The air speed and heat settings are not marked and that is one improvement that definitely needs to be made. I have no idea how many watts this dryer has or what voltage the wall outlet should be. The lights in our bathroom flickered and dimmed each time I tried to use it. Not sure why but my husband and I were concerned. We haven't had these issues with any other dryers or hair styling tools. Returning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from two improvement suggestions This dryer is easy for me to use because of the short nozzle. It's not heavy. The pop-out feature is handy but the first several times I used it, I had to refer to the instructions to remember which was full air and which was for styling (the difference in air flow is subtle, imo). Simple printed instructions on the barrel would have helped me to get used to it (like maybe arrows pointing in and out with one word). The reason why I rated it only 4 out of 5 was the air flow. I have very thin, fine hair. Even with 3 speeds, the lowest air setting is too powerful and blows my hair all over the place. I'm still learning how to work with it. I'm keeping the dryer because my hair really feels nice and smooth after I dry it, and the heat settings prevent it from getting too hot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It Love the options for heat & speed levels. Also the adjustable nozzle is great. It does such a great job delivering smooth styling. Very happy. I notice in some reviews complaints about it not working out of the box or after owning for a time. This dryer has a red fuse switch ( not sure if correct name) in the black plug. Be sure it is pushed in. Sometimes the yellow button gets pushed and it pops out, stops the dryer. A safety feature. Excellent dryer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am convinced! This is the best hair dryer i’ve ever used! I admit, it was a bit awkward to use to begin with...the nozzle was a different shape than I have bee used to for years, but with a bit of perseverance, I was sold! The condition of my hair is really amazing...healthy, thick and it feels good. I write this in hope I can help others who are sitting on the fence...what have you got to lose? I tried the Dyson hairdryer first, because I am a huge Dyson fan...but this dryer had a big heavy transformer on the cable which completely got in the way...it is inexplicable to me why it was there in the first place, so I returned it. The Calista, however had no such impediment and seemed to do exactly the same thing, is cheaper and easier to use...take my word for it...i’m Sure you’ll agree with me...it’s worth the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought this with the plan to just try it and figured I'd have to send it back as it is quite pricey! I have curly frizzy hair and hate it. I do pretty good with a blowdryer but usually have to lightly flat iron afterwards. I used this for the first time and found it really cut down on the frizziness in my hair. The more I use it, the easier it is for me to use. It is kind of top heavy but I have decided to keep it.
