AeroPilates Strength and Stamina DVD is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding series of AeroPilates Reformer DVDs This DVD consists of 2 workout programs: Strong and Lean (43 minutes) and Body, Heart, and Mind (38 minutes). I’ve completed the Strong and Lean program about 4 times and the Body, Heart, and Mind one time (on yesterday). On the Strong and Lean program, you’ll rebound about 15 minutes in 5-minute increments at the beginning, middle and end. On the Body, Heart, and Mind program, you’ll rebound about 10 minutes in 5-minute increments at the beginning and end. I sweat consistently throughout these programs, from the beginning to the end. I normally do not sweat when performing pilates exercises from a DVD. I sweat more profusely and my legs and thighs trembled in the later part of the Body, Heart, and Mind program. I would rate the Strong and Lean as beginner and the Body, Heart, and Mind as advanced beginner to intermediate. I didn’t attempt one of the exercises on the Body, Heart, and Mind program; but will attempt it when my body gets stronger. Two years ago, I purchased the 5 new AeroPilates DVDs (Strength and Stamina, Fat Burning Cardo, Total Body Tone and Lengthen, Stretching, and AeroPilates Primer & Basic Workout). These are a complete upgrade from the DVDs that came with my reformers. This new series of DVDs are the most similar to taking a private pilates class because your instructor (Marjolein guides her daughter, Skye in this DVD series) normally changes your springs, etc. The instructor also provides more cueing. You’ll need to pause the DVDs because you’ll need the time to change (1) your position from seated to standing, etc., (2) from the bar to the jumpboard/cardio rebounder and (3) the number/type of spring. I would highly recommend this series of DVDs to everyone. I’ve owned a reformer for the past 9 nine years. Over the years, I upgraded from the AeroPilates 3-cord to the 5-cord to the latest 4-spring reformer/tower combination (this month). I’ve periodically taken private and group pilates classes over the last 10 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much better! The DVDs that come with purchase of reformer are different than this DVD.This is much better! It is like being in a personal class ..calm,,,relaxed..informed..etc. I do think there wasn't enough info on detail of what DVD was about. The time lists 81 minutes..which is 41 + 40 minutes divided.on one DVD. Each on has a workout with Cardio in between ...so you get both Pilates and rebounder work out. I do not find this too fast w/changing of positions..etc. Hint...when using the rebounder section..she will countdown last 15 seconds ..so that is the time to get off and get bars switched and get ready... First part of DVD is something I a very familiar with...the 2nd half has some positions i am not familiar and a little more advanced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far great I purchased this new DVD, as well as a few of the other newer versions, but used this one yesterday. There are two workouts, one for strength and the other cardio I did the strength workout. It has cardio incorporated into it so don't be surprised, two 5 minute sets of rebounding so if you don't have the rebounder, you will need it. The only thing this is missing is a time for each of the work outs. It states 81 minutes running time; however I believe that is for both workouts combined. I have no idea how long I worked out, so it's detail that should have been outlined. I am not experienced, I admit I've owned my machine, used it all the time at first and then when I put it on a stand, I wasn't as faithful - I know doesn't make sense, but I'm getting back into the routine. With that said, there are moves within this DVD that I have not seen, but it wasn't hard to figure them out. I believe they do go from position to position a bit too fast, even for someone who is experienced, I believe they don't give you enough time between sets and changing a position, by the time you're in position they're already counting on 2. With that said, I feel the most stretched with this workout than I have with any one of the workouts that came with my 4 cord. You won't be disappointed. The 4 stars are only because of the missing detail on the time of the workouts; otherwise it would be 5 stars.
