Stock the CrockMy brother is not much of a cook but he bought a crock pot. I bought this book as a gift for him. Since it was nicely wrapped, I was not able to read the recipes but liked the description provided by QVC. My brother - in his late 60's - seemed very pleased with the book. I'm not sure he has any other cookbooks! Crock pot cooking is in vogue now, so I think this makes a good gift. I have always thought that cookbooks make good gifts.

Good RecipesThe first recipe I made from this book was for a pot luck dinner. Had no leftovers so I know it was good. Looking forward to making more soon.

RECIPES ARE TOO INVOLVEDI prefer simple one step recipes for the crock pot. Many of these recipes are various steps before you finally put them in the crock pot. I feel the TV presentation was misleading or I would not have purchased it. Will put in my gift closet, not spending money oh S&H. I do not recommend this book unless you purchase it at store where you can actually see the recipes and feel it is worth the money on this disappointing cook book.

Worst purchase everI was very disappointed. It doesn't have just simple receipes that myself as a senior can use. Too fancy.

Book Is OkMost of the recipes seem vegetarian (except for the obvious "meats" chapter). For me and my family, I will be making many substitutions. The dessert chapter could use a little more variety as well.

Great CookbookI really like how the recipes are organized. Have cooked several of the recipes and they were all delicious. So glad i bought two of these cookbooks because one of them is going to make a wonderful Christmas gift.

Compared Phyllis Good's other booksI compared the recipes to Phyllis Good's other books in my collection. I found the new book better. There are suggestions and notes to each recipe. Each recipe is a gem.
Thank you so much for this cookbook.

Recipes Look Great, But~I love cookbooks for my slow cooker, and the recipes looked good.
Having said that - Recipes need to have calories per serving, and nutrition info, ie carbs.
This is my big pet peeve when it comes to cookbooks/recipes. Not sure if I'm going to keep this book because of that.
