Thrilled With This Handbag
I’m so happy with the Celeste handbag. The feel and smell of the handbag is wonderful. I purchased the color Bordeaux with the darker braided Handel wow just beautiful. I love the compartments to keep me organized and when I use this handbag I feel like a million bucks.

Disappointed
I had been wanting a DB Florentine leather bag for quite some time when I saw this one and thought the price was good. I really liked the size and style of the bag. However, the leather was like any other leather. It was not soft as described by the host. There was no leather smell like the host said. I was very disappointed with the leather, so i returned. This was my first Florentine leather bag and wanted it because of the way the leather is supposed to be better than other leather. It was not.

I think I'm keeping it
I have to admit - I prefer tote bags -and ones with a 10 inch strap drop with DB never seems to make, but I think I'm keeping this. It has as much capacity as my LV Neverfull and my Tod's large joy bag. While it doesn't have an outside pocket there is an internal pocket for my cell. I like the key leash to find my house key. Red lining does make it easy to see what is in the bag. I like that it zips closed which my totes don't always do. The additional straps mean you can wear this crossbody or as a shoulder bag. As others noted, the smaller handles don't fold down, but that doesn't bother me so much. I love the florentine leather (although a bit weighty) and the braided handles. I purchased in black and find it be to a very elegant handbag.

Questionable
I own several Dooney and Bourke bags. This bag disappointed me. All the hype presented by the QVC host was what sold me on the bag. Florentine leather superior to other D & B leathers???????? Please someone explain how this is true. I was expecting a very soft supple leather. My bag is neither soft nor supple. My precious late husband gave me my first Dooney bag in the 1970s. My daughter gave me the matching wallet. I am still using this wonderful bag. I believe my first D & B bag was USA made. I think they are now all made in China. Can anyone tell me where Dooney bags are now manufactured? Dooney quality is hitting an all time low. Disgusting! Dooney bags are not cheap! I am sick of spending my hard earned money on sub quality products, especially expensive products. Dooney please rethink your product manufacturer. Go back to selling quality products. Thank you!

Use To Love
I ordered 3 Dooney and Bourke bags for Christmas. I returned all 3. Why? The quality has gone way down. All 3 were manufactured in the Phillipines and looked cheap and mass produced. I know there is a pandemic going on but you can’t ask people to spend their hard earned money on a gift and have it arrive looking cheap and less than dept store standards. I want the old Dooney and Bourke back. Otherwise this girl is going back to Coach.

Best Florentine bag in my opinion
After searching extensively among the Florentine bags, and trying several out (including the Hattie Drawstring), this is absolutely the best style for me. My bag has to be a workhorse, with a structured silhouette that holds all the stuff I need for work, and can sit on the passenger seat of the car without collapsing in on itself.
I purchased the all black version. It fits all my criteria for a perfect everyday/work satchel: sturdy Florentine leather, zipper top that opens wide enough to see the contents, generously sized, double handles that fit nicely in your hand or the crook of your elbow, nice long shoulder strap to turn it into a crossbody, holds a large size appointment book, iPad, and small tool kit along with the usual handbag contents, and the leather is absolutely perfect. I love the braided handles and that the hardware is very understated. I also like that the logo plate is made of black leather to tone to the bag instead of being made of metal, (which I find to be a visual distraction!). I'm one of those people who don't like obvious logos on my clothing and accessories.
If I were to add anything to this already excellent design, I would request an exterior pocket for my phone, because it would be easier to access when I'm out. But regardless, this bag is definitely a keeper and I can see using it for many years to come!

Not Really Florentine ...
I've purchased a number of Florentine Dooney & Bourke bags from QVC and they've always been beautiful. Florentine leather should be smooth and supple with a luxurious leather aroma. This leather is pebbled, stiff and without the Florentine aroma that I love. It looks quite inexpensive like maybe a $35 purse. I think it's unconscionable to have to pay the shipping costs. Also, the top zipper is difficult to close and snags any soft material it comes in contact with.

Well Made Bag
This bag is most certainly made of the best leather around. It’s a beautiful bag but even upon arrival it already had light scratches in the leather I can only imagine how scared it would become with just normal use. I hated having to return the bag but I don’t care for that look. I loved the braiding of the handles but I would of preferred if they were able to drop to the sides when the bag was in the sitting position. It’s a very large bag and very roomy which I just loved but on the flip side it does make it very heavy. Sadly I returned the bag. The shipping was I believe was hefty.
