Q: Do Super Wash Balls wash out stains?
A: Super Wash Balls are independently lab tested to be as effective as detergent. Anything that regular detergent can wash off, you can wash out with Super Wash Balls. Please still treat harsh stains like grease, wine, juice, or any other hard stains with stain remover first.
Q: My clothes don't smell like anything, so are they clean?
A: This doesn't mean the clothes aren't clean. It simply means there's no scent.
Q: Do Super Wash Balls work in high-efficiency washers?
A: Yes, Super Wash Balls work in front loader high-efficiency washers as well as top loaders. The Super Wash Balls react with water and heat and the fabric. Although high-efficiency washers don't use as much water, it's still enough to activate the bioceramics inside Super Wash Balls to clean your clothes effectively.
Q: Can I use bleach, fabric softener, and/or additional detergent along with Super Wash Balls?
A: Yes, you can still use bleach or fabric softener or a little bit of additional detergent along with the Super Wash Balls during your washes. These chemical liquids do not negatively affect the detergency effects of Super Wash Balls' bioceramics.
Q: How can I tell when the Super Wash Balls are used up?
A: The bioceramics inside the Super Wash Balls will slowly begin to disintegrate throughout about 1,000 loads of laundry. Towards the end of the life of your Super Wash Balls, the balls will feel lighter and the bioceramics will be depleted enough to function with less-than-optimal performance. This is how you can tell when it's time to buy a new set.
Q: Do I have to soak the Super Wash Balls before every wash or just one time?
A: It's only recommended that you soak the Super Wash Balls in water before each washfor up to 20 minutes. However, this isn't required. This process gives the bioceramics inside Super Wash Balls more time to react with the water to manipulate more of the water molecules to achieve maximum effectiveness, but this isn't necessary. Super Wash Balls still has enough detergency to clean your load of laundry even without soaking.
Q: How can I tell my clothes are clean?
A: It's very easy to have a drastic comparison. For example, if you have pets or babies or have dirty clothing after an event such as a BBQ, swimming, or exercising, compare the odor and dirtiness of your clothes before washing to after washing with Super Wash Balls. Of course, if your clothes aren't that dirty, the difference between clean and not-so-dirty clothes won't be that big to begin with. So please don't dismiss the power of Super Wash Balls due to the small difference.
Q: Do Super Wash Balls work in both cold water and warm/hot water?
A: Yes, Super Wash Balls work in both cold and warm/hot water. However, the effects are slightly better in warm/hot water.
Q: Can I leave the Super Wash Balls inside the washer and wash back-to-back loads?
A: You can leave the Super Wash Balls inside the washer during the entire wash cycle and even between washes. But you should dry them in the sun every two weeks to release the captured odors and recatalyze the bioceramics via sunlight.
Q: Should I use both Super Wash Balls at the same time?
A: Yes, please use both Super Wash Balls for every wash. Each ball has enough bioceramics to effectively wash up to 10 lbs of laundry, thus two balls will take care of any U.S. residential washer. However, even if you're just washing a few shirts, we recommend using both balls at the same time.
Q: How do you dry the Super Wash Balls in the sun during winter?
A: Super Wash Balls need to be dried and recatalyzed in the sun. Even during the winter months, there is still sunlight, although weaker. As long as there's direct sunlight, the bioceramics inside will be recatalyzed and achieve maximum detergency power again.
Q: Are these safe for delicate clothing, even if they have decorative parts?
A: Super Wash Balls are safe to use with your typical delicates like intimate wear, etc. The Super Wash Balls' shell is made from a soft plastic which is also designed in a ball shape with a specially engineered nonabrasive surface. However, if your clothing has decorative embellishments, please don't use Super Wash balls, just to be safe.
Q: Will Super Wash Balls work in hard water?
A: Super Wash Balls do work in all types of water. Hard water has additional sediments like chlorine or other ions in it that affect the composition of the water. However, the bioceramics in Super Wash Balls only react with the pure water compound of H2O, so they can be used in any part of the country.
Q: How often do I have to dry out the Super Wash Balls in the sun?
A: Typically, we recommend drying out your Super Wash Balls in the sun every two weeks. However, it depends on how often you wash. We typically recommend drying them out every 12 loads. Since Super Wash Balls are very effective odor-absorbers, please dry out your set once the Super Wash Balls smell bad.
