Steamfast 1500W Steam Cleaner
Steamer cleans bathtub as well as the tile floors great. Takes time to warm up and cool off.
Have had for over 2 years and still glad I purchased it. Previously I had one machine that could do floors only and another hand-held one. Neither of them produced as much steam as this one. I really like the versatility of this steamer in that I can to not only the floor but smaller jobs. I would agree with one writer as to the windows and think they called it a “waterfall” but you can work around that by having a rag handy. I love Xmas and painting my windows with snow/frost but typically a royal pain to get off until I got this and it makes it a breeze. I would also agree with one writer in saying that the brush attachments don’t seem to last very long as the bristles tend to somewhat melt. I usually use a just the plain attachment or none at all and a separate brush or rag. As for another one stating that don’t know when it is out of water—steam stops so that is simple. I did not find that I would have to wait till it cools down to refill when it is empty, I just slowly unscrew it releasing any left-over pressure then refill and reheat and I am back to my work
Even though not perfect, for me it was the best out there.
Not what I expected. Nozzles melted with first use so those are one timers. The tank is so small that you are having to wait for it to cool off and refill and then reheat just to do a small job. My old steamer was amazing so I never thought this one would be any different WRONG. I am hoping to find a different one because this one just does not work well.
Not the Best to Kill Bacteria on Floors
I previously owned a Monster floor steamer, which I loved, but it finally quit after several good years of use. I purchased this unit based on the positive reviews. I liked the idea of having the hand-held wand to clean areas other than the floor. But, the main reason I bought it was for the floor. Imagine my surprise when I read the instructions and it said, and I quote, "To effectively kill bacteria and microorganisms, repeatedly mop a single small area (approximately 3' x 3' for best results), for at least 2 minutes." Are you kidding me??? I did a rough calculation, dividing my tile floor into 3' x 3' sections---it would take me over 80 minutes to effectively kill bacteria on my floor! It took 2 seconds of steam with my Monster. If I'd known this in advance, I would not have purchased it.
I researched all the steam cleaners on QVC and ordered this one because of all the
good reviews-what a mistake that was! I'm not sure what everyone is bragging about-
this steam cleanr is horrible. The blue light goes on every 30 seconds, there is not enough power to clean soap scum or the oven door, the attachments wear out almost
immediately and in the end I had to do what I was trying to avoid- getting on my hands and knees to clean. Also there is no way to know when you need to refill the water.
Don't waste your money on this one!
i would have given 5 stars but ive only used a few of the attachments, but boy this thing steams like crazy!!!! ive steam cleaned an outdoor carpet, and it just went crazy, it makes sooo much steam! i loved it! ive also used it for toilets etc, it just blasts the heck outta stuff. love this lil Buggie! (reminds me of Volkswagen beetle)
So far - so Great!
Just purchased and used once all over the house. Has done great so far. I only wished I had more pads than just two. The attachment for the bathroom was awesome.
I bought this primarily to clean showers, tried it today on shower, did a very poor job on soap scum, however it did very well on cleaning out gunk under shower sliders. Worked well on cleaning patio sliding doors. Not to great on the glass, but again cleaning out the runners worked well. It does a better job on my kitchen and bathroom floors than my Shark, not a lot better, but better. I find it clumsy to move around, the electric cord is not long enough, it tips over frequently. I wished I had returned it. Giving 3 stars due to the floor cleaning. Oh, and the users's guide is a joke. I would not recommend this. It also is bulky to store and takes awhile to heat up. Some of the attachments are also a joke.
I purchased this for my mother who is 83 years old, still lives by herself and does her own cleaning. The steamer that she had broke and I was trying to find a similar one to replace her old one. She always used her old one to clean all of the windows in her house. The day it came, we opened it and she went right to work cleaning her windows. She loves it!!! It does the job that she wanted it to do and she is able to handle it with no problem.
JUST SO SO
Was looking forward to receiving this cleaner, extremely disappointed...wish they would bring the Oreck dry clean system to QVC! Come on QVC the viewers will love Oreck's machine.
I too am extremely disappointed. Had high hopes to use this throughout my house.
First tried in my bathroom. Like previous reviewer, spent considerable time and effort on tub/surround with no good outcome. Could take my fingernail and scrape off soap residue after I cleaned. Had staining around the drain in my tub and sink. No help.
Ok on floors, but not made for tight spots or effective in corners. Lots of water left on floor too...like you had been down on your hands and knees and did not wring out the rag!
Tried on my windows and although it did clean, what a waterfall! I would never attempt to use this on bedding, upholstery...it would be a soggy mess. Even if I patiently waited until that darned blue light went off (comes on fast after you begin to clean), I got steam but also LOTS of water.
I concluded I might as well just continue cleaning as I did in the past. Plus, this is not a small unit to store.
I am not a fan of a multitude of cleaning products for household chores. I was hoping this steamer would be a great sanitizer. Not so for me :(
I purchased this steamer because of the 5-star ratings given by many others. I'm not sure what they are cleaning, but to me it was a big disappointment. I wanted this mainly to clean the soap scum from my shower walls and floor. It did not do that. I tried every attachment possible and nothing did the job. It should have been fairly easy, as the walls are slick acrylic. The small heads were useless. After one use, the bristles were flattened. Also, there is no way to tell when the tank is empty or near empty, and the blue light comes on continuously while in use, meaning it has to reheat. It does a somewhat decent job on the floors, but there are many areas I cannot get to with the floor attachment, such as around and behind the toilet. Still have to get down on my hands and knees to get that, and I am getting too old for that! Wish demonstrations were a little more truthful.
