As a cookbook collector, I enjoy an interesting read along with great recipes and photos. This book has it all. We often have our grandkids map out the state/region where the recipe comes from, so it's a fun lesson while cooking with them. Great purchase.

Bought this as a gift but had to read it myself first. Recipes don't require odd ingredients. The highlight is the information presented telling the history of the recipes and why they work. Foodies will enjoy this bonus.

I LOVE this cookbook! I collect cookbooks, and this one is unique in that it includes regional recipes that are favorites of those regions. I love the little tips and bits of history that accompany each recipe. Very informative and a wonderful addition to my collection. Especially fun to find the pepperoni roll recipe. I had never tasted them before moving to West Virginia. They are *delicious* and have become a favorite in my household. I'm inspired to try to make my own now.

What a great, diversified cookbook. Who needs another same old same old? The southern recipes comes from the SOUTH, the New England recipes comes from the NORTH. Perfect!! Even those onions rolls I used to get at the Bakery when little with my Dad on Sundays is in there! I didn't know they were from POLAND!! I just knew I LOVED them -even without butter!!. The make/sell them in NY and this book has the recipe!!
THE REAL Rice and Beans - the best!!. Everything is perfection, and they explained WHY it is, and how they arrived at the final recipe. How wonderful to have a team of great smart Chef's, trying over and over to arrive at the finest version of each particular dish! ANOTHER WINNER from America's Test Kitchen. A yummy book!!

VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THIS BOOK. LOOKED GREAT ON DAVIDS SHOW, WAITED FOR IT. SKIMMED ENTIRE BOOK WHEN IT ARRIVED, FOUND MAYBE 2 ITEMS I WOULD TRY. SO WENT THROUGH AGAIN...
VERY FOREIGN COOKING FOR ME, NOTHIING COMMON, LOTS OF PREP. WORK AND GROCERY SHOPPING, WHICH I AM NO LONGER INTO. I LIKE THINGS RATHER SIMPLE.
BIG QVC FAN....BUT MAY RETURN THIS, EVEN THOUGH RETURN DOLLARS DO NOT MAKE IT WORTH RETURNING...THINK ITS TIME TO GIVE UP THE COOKBOOKS...LATELY THEY HAVE NOT BEEN WORTH IT. SORRY DAVID
2 STARS FOR A NICE LOOKING COOKBOOK
