David's Savory Sausage Party Dip

This is a great dip to make ahead of time for your party or event. Just refrigerate until your guests arrive and then pop in the microwave before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hot sausage
  • 2 8-oz. packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can of green chili and tomatoes, drained
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips

Directions

Crumble and brown the sausage in a medium skillet; drain the grease. Add the softened, room temperature cream cheese and the drained can of chili/tomatoes. Mix thoroughly with a large spoon. Transfer to a serving dish and place on a platter. Surround the serving dish with the tortilla chips.

Cook's Notes

To remove the casing from the sausage link, snip off the end of the sausage with kitchen shears, then squeeze the sausage filling from the casing. Think of squeezing toothpaste from the tube!
