Love This Heater
I have had three cancers which left me very cold with low hemoglobin counts. This heater heats my whole room, or it can be set to put the heat directly on me which I love. I would recommend this heater to anyone needing a good heat source. Haven't tried the fan yet as it is winter here, and may not because I like the heat even in the summer.

This is so quite and grateful for the heat right now to take chill off of any room, Indiana weather has been crazy lately we have carried to different rooms love the rotating of the fan and blower.

Would Like Better if Warmer and Quieter
I believe Dyson makes superior products that are mostly worth the premium price.
The room this is used in is ~12x18 with vaulted ceilings. It does seem to take a long time to warm the room. I've been putting it at 86 to try to help it along. In this size room, it never gets hot, just makes the room a little warmer.
The air that is blown around feels cool when sitting even 5' away.
Finally, it is noisier than I expected. There are 10 fan settings. The noise of the air at setting 4 is as loud as my $28 room heater from another company. I have to turn up the tv.
A call to Dyson, indicated this noise is typical. I'm trying to tell myself it's just 'white noise' as Jane Tracey described. It's very different from the sales segment with the fan on that is absolutely quiet! I'm surprised their microphones didn't pick up this pretty loud 'white noise'.
If this had been my first time trying Dyson, I would send back. Dyson should correct these flaws.

Where’s the heat?
Unless you’re within 3-4 feet of the unit, you cannot really feel the heat. Even at full power (fan speed of 10), the unit still circulates cool, not hot, air to you. Walk toward the unit and the air is hot, unlike where you’re sitting 4 or 6 feet away. Too much money for something that runs constantly and doesn’t keep you warm when temps go below 32F. It’s ok for keeping you warm when air temps are in 40-60F range and you don’t want to run the furnace.

Very Effective Heating
Order a second AM09 Jet Focus since I was so pleased with heating unit on the first purchase. Warranty on this one is only for two years however.
