I have loved this product, in the past, but obviously there has been a change in the ingredients. It used to be white and now it is tan, but the worst part is it burns my face. I purchased the super sized jar and still had some of my other jar. So, I didn't start using it until it was too late to send it back. I won't buy this anymore and I don't think I will use philosophy products anymore. They aren't as good as they were.

I had this cream before and it was white. The on air presentation shows the product to be white. However, the jar I just got is a light yellow/tan ish shade. I emailed Philosophy to see if it's a bad batch, but they wrote back just saying I can return if I choose for testing. I did see other reviews mention the difference in color too.
Since QVC no longer refunds for original shipping costs, I don't want to end paying about $6 just in shipping for a tiny jar that doesn't weigh anything.
As far as the smell-- it's because of the glycolic acid-- active ingredients are going to have smell in order to work. It's definitely NOT a perfume smell in case anyone is wondering.

I purchase products from QVC at least twice a week but rarely I post a review, I feel like I need to say something about this product so here it goes....I purchased ithe hope in jar night cream about a year ago and there is still almost half left only because I have to use it when my husband is already sleep as he does not like the smell and quite honestly I hate It too, this cream truly smells like underarm sweat but I have been trying to put up with it hoping to see the results which very little under the circumstances of uneven use. When I put it on I have to "mask" it with another cream like Nivea so my face won't smell like BO!
After almost one year of use no real chance and many smelly-smelly nights! Never again I will purchase this thing. I don't understand the ladies with 5 stars and claim no smell... Believe me .... Oh there is a bad smell!

Saw so much results after using for a couple weeks. I like it better then hope in a jar day. It works really well if you need a change in your skin looking dull notice wrinkles lines. Try this. Awesome. Product. Purity made simple make up remover / cleanser works great with this product.

At first I liked it, but in the summertime the only thing I use on my face is Argan oil, so this cream I leave in my cabinet until the fall or winter. Well, when I went back to use it after 2 or 3 months of not using it, it had turned a light tan. I smelled it and it seemed okay, but after a while it started getting darker, until it was actually a brownish color. At that point I threw it out because turning colors like that just cannot be a good thing. But my regular Hope in a Jar remained bright white and still worked great, so I will stick with that.

This does not have a horrible smell. It has no more smell that the regular Hope In A Jar.
It's heavier that the regular Hope In A Jar since it is a night cream

This cream smells so bad. At first I thought I may have gotten a bad batch, but then I read some of the other reviews and realized others felt the same way. It may be a good moisturizer, but because of the smell I stopped using it after a couple weeks. I didn't notice the smell until I put it on my face. I wish I could return it, but it is too late.
