A226099 - Weil by Orthaheel Lucia Orthotic Mule with Back Strap
Fits me great!
I'm between a size 8 and 8.5 so I was a little worried ordering an 8 with all the negative reviews on sizing. But I bit the bullet and ordered anyway. I just received it today and it fits perfect! I'm definitely an 8 in Orthoheels and the front has a little wiggle space but not enough to drive me crazy. I haven't worn it out and for hours. I've never worn orthopedics so I'm going to wear it around the house first before I venture out.
Vamp far too tight
Bought these for my 12 yr old with very flat and somewhat wide feet. The orthotic did as suggested, but the fit across the top of the foot was extremely tight. These had to go back. Trying the inserts instead.
Who was your model???
Thesecould have been really cute but...far, far too wide. You say to order down and I always need to order up...but this one would only get wider.
Superior workmanship. A great price for a shoe manufactured in Spain. The Orthoheel shoes are great, but synthetic and thus makes your foot sweat quite a bit. These are all leather and so are not initially as soft and flexible as the Orthoheel, but when they are broken in, they are awesome - comfortable with wonderful support. I love the leather & the shoes are beautiful. I ended up ordering the Deva, also. I am sure these will wear well and last for years. Yes, the Orthoheel are cheaper, but obviously will not hold up as well as these will. Give them a try.
I was extremely disappointed in these shoes ... they're going back today. The quality just isn't there and the fit was poor. I had to adjust the straps to fit tighter because the shoes were too wide and also too short. I have two other pairs of Orthaheels and have been very satisfied ... in fact rarely wear anything else. I might try the inserts for other shoes.
I am familiar with the brand, have worn them and find them helpful for my orthopedic issues. So it is not the brand that gets one star, it is the quality of the shoe I received. They looked like a second. The leather on the top of the right shoe was extremely scuffed. I am not sure where the "Q" was in this purchase but these are going back!
I received these shoes today and was very disappointed in the fit and comfort.
First, I sized down to a 7 but found the shoe to be very wide and loose unless I tightened the loop as snug as possible. Once I did that though, my toes were jammed to the top of the shoe. Not good. Also, the footbed is VERY hard as is the fabric of the shoe (no softness or give). For the price of this shoe, I thought I was getting a wonderfully comfortable walking shoe but that was not the case. Maybe others will find the shoe works for them, but these are going back tomorrow. Too bad. I have other orthaheels and like them a lot.
Weil sizing not consistent with Orthaheel sizing
This is the 3rd pair of Weil by Orthaheel shoes I have ordered and, like the others, I have to return them. The closed-toe shoes in the Weil line seem to run about 1/2 size smaller than for Orthaheels. These shoes also run wide. Despite the fact that the back strap is adjustable, because the shoes are so wide, my feet slide forward and the shoes feel short. I won't be trying any more Weil shoes.
