Best Cooking Item I Have Ever Bought
I couldn't live without my Ninja!!! I use it every night when I cook dinner. I will never be without one ever! It's easy to use and works amazing. One pot meals is the best for this mom of 4!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!
Purchased this when it first aired and have been in love ever since. I have gotten rid of my crock pots, yes I more than one. The original one only came in black and I would love if it had a glass lid. Other than that it's awesome. Receipes are easy to follow. Meat is very tender. Love the 30 minute meals. Bought one for my married daughter as she wanted to steal mine. You can use the stove top feature, then go right into the oven or slow cooker mode. Cleanup is a breeze and only one dish to use. The first time I used the stove top, it took a little while to heat up, but so does an electric stove. My family loves the one pot spaghetti.
Love The Idea, But Needs Smaller Capacity As Well
I live in a one bedroom apartment; its enormous! I had to return because it was too big to store and took up too much space on countertop.
YOU NEED THIS MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE KITCHEN!
I purchased this item more than a year ago when it first premiered. It only came in black at the time, but color is just a decorative feature. Of course, if you use it as much as I do you may never put it away.
I work long hours and I'm usually tired by the time dinnertime arrives. This unit babysits the food since there is controlled heat with no open flame. I can start a recipe by steadily cooking the meat while I prep the rest of the recipe on the counter. Often I can toss everything in after that and slam on the lid and walk away for 20 minutes until it's ready. The large oval shape allows for a nice cut of meat or multiple chicken breasts to cook at once. The nonstick surface truly holds up and rinses clean right in the sink. Nothing has burned in this unit, but meat and onions caramelize nicely.
It's a slow cooker, a stovetop, and an oven. How is the flavor? My mom made a prime rib in it for Easter and I never knew the difference! It has an OUTSTANDING recipe book with a variety of choices--none too complicated but great on flavor and variety. I don't make a lot of desserts so I haven't used that portion much. I have started to use it for recipes from other books. It makes nice large batches of soup, chili, stew, etc. NO NEED TO HEAT THE ENTIRE KITCHEN IN THE SUMMER--LEAVE THE OVEN OFF! If energy costs matter to you, this will save you on gas/electric bills as well vs. the stove.
My boyfriend is a fussy eater. He prefers baked over stovetop. However, he has raved about all the meals coming from this. The bonus? He has started to cook meals in it himself! THIS IS AN IDEAL UNIT FOR SOMEONE WHO IS JUST LEARNING HOW TO COOK OR FEELS THEY CANNOT COOK WELL! LEAVE THE POTS AND PANS IN THE CABINET! If you are remodeling your kitchen or moving, this is the one unit you want on the counter. Maybe you know someone (young or old) you are concerned about using the stove--ideal. I could give away my slow cooker and pressure cooker today to keep this. See my recommended choices for making the kitchen more user friendly.

Where can I start?! The Ninja 3-1 is THE best kitchen appliance I've ever purchased! I haven't used my stove/oven in quite some time. Reason being this Ninja does EVERYTHING! I can sear foods before slow cooking which keeps all of the goodness in pot! I also love the fact that it has oven, slow cook, stove top, and buffet settings. The Ninja gives me the opportunity to switch settings while cooking. I'm able to use raw ingredients and have a complete tasty meal in less than 30 minutes! I can't wait to use my Ninja for all of the wonderful upcoming holiday meals. I could not be happier with my purchase and I HIGHLY recommend.
Makes Cooking So Easy!
I love this item! This is one of the most versatile items in my kitchen. It's made cooking so much easier on busy days!
I received this last week and have used it 3 times already. Easy and the food turns out soo great. My husband was surprised how good and moist everything was.
Ninja Cooking System
I purchased the cooker a few months back, but was intimated by it. I finally drug it out yesterday. I cooked onions then browned my cube steaks that were dusted with seasoned flour. I added mushroom soup and some water and set it on the slow cook setting. It turned out delicious and the cooker was much more user friendly than I expected..
My confusion is with the cook book recipe instructions. Many recipes, including the prime rib and most bake goods instructions say to place the food into the pot, set the oven temperature for a period of time (as much as an hour) before covering the pot and cook until done. Does that mean the food is cooked without the lid initially?
Thanks for your help.
I Used it one time doesnt wrk anymore very disappointed with this product

I bought this item several months ago and have tried to approach it with an open mind, but I just can't figure out why it's getting so many top ratings. It's an over-priced crockpot. The browning feature is nice prior to slow cooking, but that's the only thing I can find about this cooking system that's worthwhile. The "one pot cooking" is a joke. I tried the recipe for macaroni and cheese, which basically has you start with the initial step, dump it in a bowl after it's completed, then make another step, and finally, at the end, dump them all together. Given that school of thought, every pot in my kitchen is capable of "one pot cooking". It took FOREVER to make what should have been a quick, simple recipe. The baking feature is nothing special. Meat turns out just as juicy and more nicely browned in a convection oven.
The cookbook is a mess, too. Instead of having recipes listed in the index under "Lasagna - Hearty Skillet", the way a normal cookbook would list it, this cookbook has the recipes alphabetized under the obscure adjective at the beginning of the name, such as "H" for "Hearty Skillet Lasagna" or "U" for "Upside Down Mac and Cheese". Really? How are we supposed to remember that?
If you enjoy mixing a bunch of ingredients together for a casserole, you might like this cooking system, but if that's not your cooking style, then I question whether you'll get much benefit from it. I don't like things cluttering up my countertops and it takes up a lot of storage room that could be utilized by something much more useful #like a crockpot#.
great product, glad I bought it!
I purchased this because it was by Ninja and I wanted a digital slower cooker, Just the other day I put a pork loin in it before I went to work and use the slow cooker function, even though I was gone for twelve hours, it did not burn and the automatic warming function was great. The meat turn out moist and tender and clean up was a breeze. I also have tried some the the recipes in the book they also work out well (I did some tweeking) but it turn out well also.
