F6015 - Anna Griffin Set of 6 Decorative Paper Punches
Impossible to use the line punches
I love anything that Anna Griffin makes, and I did watch her use these on air. She did say you need to use thin paper. The line punches are so intricate, there is no way that they will punch for a normal, average person. My husband and 2 sons (18 and 22) had a contest to see if they could get the punch to cleanly work on my thinnest papers. My 18 year old got it to work by standing on it, but needless to say, I will not be doing this often. They are so pretty, but they do not work. The other 4 larger punches are also difficult, but beautiful and worth the extra effort.
not worth it
The designs are absolutely beautiful, but even after the wax paper & the aluminum foil tip, I had to stand on them to get them to punch through thin paper. Only one of the punches worked as they are suppose to. It wasn't worth paying shipping and handling twice to send them back when I was able to get one good punch out of the bunch so I kept it and the others are throw away. I have never been so disappointed with a QVC product. Please do more quality control. I feel blessed to have gotten1 out of the group that is acceptable.
Only two of the punches worked correctly. The line ones absolutely would not function no matter what type of paper was used. The blades to cut the paper did come into the design.
A Lovely, Delicate Design
I bought these a while ago, and I love them! My friend and I were using them tonight. They are so lovely on our scrapbook pages.
It is important to remember that these are fine, delicate designs, and will work with thin paper or vellum, but not with cardstock. It is fairly easy to operate the punch with the proper paper. I've tried cardstock, too, but it won't cut through that - Anna Griffin mentioned on air that these are for thin paper only.
Difficulty Using and Cutting
These punches are pretty, but very difficult to use. The corner punch worked the best, but the others didn’t. I had to use the heel of my foot to push down on a stamp to get it to cut. I returned mine yesterday.
Beautiful but difficult
The designs are lovely, but it takes way too much pressure to punch a decent design. Really need to make easier to use for everyone.
Hard to use
These punches are so hard to press on, my husband couldn't get them to work.....I'll keep them and hopefully someday I can get them to work
Hard to use
The 2 line punches dont work well at all. They dont punch thru like it should. Takes alot of strength to use the rest of them. Not something I would order agian.
Too hard to press
You need a lot of strength to cut with these, I am 37 and my hands have not got the strength to cut these, I have to ask my husband. Plus once you press down they stick!
Some punches were difficult to use
Some punches worked perfectly as long as I was using 20 lb. (regular weight) paper or lighter. The punches that worked really added to my page designs. Other punches were just too difficult to press down hard enough to use (I'm a 40-something woman in good health so I don't think it was operator error).
Great for Heirloom Pages
I used these punches in a 50th Anniversary album for my parents. They do require a little work to punch, but that is because of the intricacy of the design. The effect is well worth the effort. To preserve my wrist, I would place the punch on the floor and step on it. Works like a charm.
Great for Heirloom Pages
These are a must have for heirloom pages but good for other types as well. I keep them in my travel/crop bag at all times. My only complaint is they are a little hard to push, punching wax paper helped some.
