Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Garlic Butter Steak Bites

David Venable

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp neutral oil
  • 1-1/2 lbs Coulotte steak (or sirloin, strip steak, ribeye, or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 oz unsalted butter
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small shallot, minced
  • 2 Tbsp minced chives
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh oregano

Preparation

Add the oil to a large skillet and heat it over high heat.

Add the steak pieces to the hot pan. Do not overcrowd; pan-sear in batches, if necessary. Season them with Montreal steak seasoning.

Cook for at least two minutes before stirring the steak pieces for a good sear. Stir.

Continue cooking for another two minutes or until they're golden brown.

Transfer the steak bites to a plate and reduce heat to medium.

Allow the skillet to cool slightly then add the butter. After the butter has melted, stir in the garlic and shallots, and sweat for approximately 30 seconds or until they become aromatic and tender.

Return the steak bites to the pan with the chives and oregano. Toss and coat thoroughly. Serve and enjoy!
