Since the air is forced horizontally across each individual tray, it converges on the core--resulting in fast, even and nutritious drying without flavor mixing. The fan and heater are conveniently top-mounted to be clear from drippings. The quietly powerful 500W/1200 rpm motor and fan is four times faster than convection dryers that have no fan or motor. The Vita-Save exterior is opaque to block light, helping to retain more food nutrients and vitamins during the drying process. There's no need to rotate the trays, because the drying pressure automatically adjusts as the unit expands up to 12 trays high. Food releases easily from the trays. Dehydrator comes with four trays.
