Pink Stuff with Macadamia Nuts & Lemon Zest

This recipe is a simple and sweet creation that's perfect for the busy holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 1 (21-oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (20-oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1-1/2 cups macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 1 (12-oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Mint leaves to garnish

Directions

Mix together pie filling, crushed pineapple, sweetened condensed milk, and 1 cup of chopped macadamia nuts in a large bowl. Fold in the whipped topping. Refrigerate until chilled.
Remove from the refrigerator and garnish with the remaining 1/2 cup of macadamia nuts and the lemon zest. Add a few mint leaves for additional garnish before serving.

Cook's Notes

You can substitute pecans, walnuts, or even pine nuts for the macadamia nuts.|You can use blueberry pie filling in place of the cherry.
