Mulled Wine Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle dry white wine, such as sauvignon blanc
  • 3/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • 1 star anise
  • 5 cloves
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 medium mango, diced

Preparation

Add the white wine, orange liqueur, and sugar to a large serving pitcher. Stir to dissolve the sugar before adding the rest of the ingredients. Set aside in the fridge to infuse overnight or for at least 3 hours. Serve cold.

Cook's Notes

If you have not finished drinking this sangria within 24 hours, strain out the solids so that the drink will not turn bitter.
