Star-Spangled Brunch Skewers

Ingredients

  • 24 store-bought mini pancakes
  • 12 bamboo picks 3-1/2" long
  • 12 small strawberries
  • 12 blackberries or blueberries
  • 12 mini marshmallows
  • 1-1/2 cups strawberry jam
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • Powdered sugar to garnish

Preparation

Heat mini pancakes per package instructions.

Assemble the skewers by starting with the strawberry and continuing in order of mini marshmallow, blackberries, and at the bottom, add 2 mini pancakes.

Mix the strawberry jam and the syrup together in a small mixing bowl.

Spoon the syrup onto the plate and place the brunch picks on the top of the syrup. Shake with powdered sugar and serve.

Cook's Notes

You can serve this all year long by changing out the fruit. Make different flavored syrups by adding the jam of your choice. You could also add bacon if you would like to add a meat.
