Pigs in a Swaddle

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Serves: Makes 32 swaddles

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes crescent sheet dough
  • 2 oz fig jam
  • 1 package cocktail sausages
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 container spreadable brie, warmed

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside.

On a cutting board, unroll the crescent dough sheets and cut each sheet into 16 rectangles. Place about 1/4 tsp of fig jam in the center of each dough rectangle.

Place a sausage towards the top left corner of the rectangle, leaving the tip of the corner exposed.

Then, bring the bottom right corner up to the middle of the sausage.

Next, fold the top right corner towards the middle.

Lastly, fold the bottom left corner to the middle to complete the swaddle.

Repeat this until all the pigs are swaddled and place on the prepared baking sheets.

Brush each swaddle with egg, and top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Bake for 10–15 minutes, until golden brown.

Serve with warmed, spreadable brie.
