Gluten-Free Sausage Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 6 stalks chopped celery
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 boxes (10 oz each) GF stuffing mix
  • 1.5 tsp spoons rubbed sage
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup white wine

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Lightly grease a 9x13" baking dish. Place pork sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain and set aside.

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Place the celery and onions in the saucepan, and slowly cook and stir until tender.

Mix the sausage, celery, onions, bread, sage, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl.

Mix the eggs, chicken broth, and wine together and pour it into the bread mixture and mix together. Press into the baking dish. Bake about 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until the top is brown and crisp.
