Shark Vertex UltraLight DuoClean PowerFins Stick Vacuum is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful. flexible and Lightweight! I absolutely love this vacuum! The first time I used it was in a room we use as our home gym. I lifted the vacuum over some sneakers and from a good distance away, it sucked up the sock that was in the shoe! The suction power is amazing. I love that it's that powerful without being heavy and in a large footprint. In fact I just donated the major brand, expensive and heavy vacuum. This is a great product. Strongly Recommend !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Vacuum with 2 Complaints The Shark Vertex Stick Vacuum really does a good job vacuuming my hardwood floors and it is excellent on upholstered furniture . Two things I believe should be corrected: 1. The canister rubbed a blister on my thumb within 2 minutes of first use because the edge of the canister is right where you grip the handle. Some engineering needed for this. 2. Getting the canister off to "park" it on the side of the vacuum is almost impossible, most of the time the whole stick comes out instead of just the canister.. I have never liked the top heavy canister type vacuums but bought this one because of this feature, so it is kind of annoying that it doesn't work well at all. If these two issues were fixed I would definitely recommend this vacuum to a friend because of the great pick=up and a reasonable price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot, Hot, Hot !!! The suction for this vacuum is great but right from the first moment I used it, it runs very hot. There are air vents on each side that blow very hot air onto me as I vacuum. This is even when the debris container is empty. I have to vacuum a little at a time as the heat is very uncomfortable. Another down side is that it does not stand up on its own. This is inconvenient and cumbersome. Third strike against this is the cord is not retractable. Guess with a thin unit such as this it's a feature that would not fit. Have to keep holding and moving the cord as vacuuming. Lastly, it is heavy and difficult to push on my thicker rug. I purchased on Easy Pay and only one payment made so far. I am able to return it but I hate to see what the shipping cost will be. Very surprised and disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend Aloha! I purchased this item for my 86 year old Mother. The presentation was spot on. When we used it for the first time we were very happy that it was everything the presenter said it was. This Shark Vacuum is lightweight, powerful and easy to use. Mahalo!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointing! I purchased this vacuum because of the self cleaning brushes and because I thought it would have a stronger suction than my Shark Ionflex Cord-Free Ultra-Light. Not so! The suction on this is terrible. I also purchased it because the batteries in the Shark Ionflex are expensive to replace. In addition, it is heavy and difficult to manage. It actually has to be pushed with force, does not glide along flooring. The debris cup is difficult to release and reconnect. Overall this does not merit even a one star. The worst part is the 30-day window for returns has expired so I'm stuck with a piece of junk. I should have returned it early on as defective but I thought it was just me and it would get better. Silly me!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overheating! This is my Second shark rocket vacuum cleaner, which I really love. However this new one I purchased in April is overheating after using it for about 4-5 minutes!!! I’m happy that it has a safety feature that shuts itself off. My first shark rocket never ever overheated. I’m wondering if any other shark rocket owners have had this problem. Help!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Except For A Few Things. We were so happy to see this as a TSV bc we had been looking for another vacuum since we had a new puppy in the house. We already had a shark, but it was an older model and kind of heavy to pack around. What we LIKE about it: 1. It picks up very well on carpet and especially our hardwood floors. It is small enough to get in underneath our barstools and dining room chairs without always having to pull them away like we had to do with our other shark. That is a timesaver within itself. 2. We love the fact that you can instantly push the button to change it from floor to carpet. 3. And we love the attachment that allows you to get underneath furniture and appliances. We have quite a bit of dog hair and sometimes it ends up under the couch. 4. We love using the hand held portion to clean the pet hair out of the dog crate. 5. We love that it’s easier to carry around. What we DON’T like about it: 1. The separate pet brush attachment doesn’t do a great job. We used it on the stairs a few times, but weren’t pleased. 2. When watching the presentations, we realized that it did not stand up on its own unless you hook the handheld part to the front. We didn’t think that would be annoying, but honestly, sometimes it is a pain. You have to either lay it on the floor, prop it up against the wall, or prop it up against furniture. 3. It does NOT clean our doormats. We have 2 Don Aslett mats. They are thin. You can’t even run this vacuum over it without the green light on the front turning red. You will also feel the motor getting really hot by your hands. Our puppy comes in and out of one of those doors a lot, so we were really hoping it would get the pet hair off of that mat. 4. What we find most annoying about this vacuum is that you can’t just do a “quick little pick up” meaning….you have to completely take the cord off of the hooks in order to attach the vacuum to the top. With our other shark, if you just have a little pile of dirt/hair that you want to quickly vacuum up, you can uncoil the cord just enough to plug it up and get it. With this model, you absolutely cannot do that. Some people may think we’re just complaining, but when you just want to quickly pick up pet hair and move on, but you have to first uncoil the ENTIRE length of the cord to attach the piece to the top, it just gets frustrating. I have even reached for the other shark a few times because it was just easier to deal with not having to take the whole cord off. All in all, we like it because it does really well on the hardwoods and the area rugs. The annoyances are just enough to remind you to not get it again though.
