Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy! Great product, does exactly what it says, makes real home made ice-cream. So delicious and relatively easy. Be sure to follow the directions about freezing the unit prior to use. I did mine for 24 hours. I made a simple vanilla ice-cream for my first attempt. It came out UNBELIVABLE! We couldn't wait the 8 hrs to eat it so we waited about 4 hrs, it was a little soft, but we actually loved it this way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Product Every Purchased We have used this Kitchen Aid attachment all summer. We made vanilla at first, then my husband made strawberry, in put them in 6 rubber made container that are just perfect to take one out for one person. Then he made up two batches of peach and put them in the same containers and labeled them. This just beats anything that you can buy at the store, and we have ice cream anytime we want it. He has use his kitchen aid with different attachments for years and this is the very best attachment we have purchased and we keep it in a spot in the deep freeze covered with a white bag. Love it so much. It keeps cold for 2 batches and works perfect and the scoop is great. Thanks To Kitchen Aid......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even Works On My 20 Year Old Kitchen Aid Mixer This icecream attachment works perfectly with my 20 year old mixer. I've made icecream 4 times since I received it. The icecream tastes as good if not better than expensive icecream we normally buy. You just have to freeze it for several hours or over night...I've made peach cobbler 4 times also...so good with homemade icecream. We Love it...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not my favorite Kitchenaid attachment I don't really think this was worth the money for the amount of time and money to get such a small amount of ice cream. Ideally you should just keep the large bowl in the freezer, or else you really have to plan a day ahead prior to making. ( which they had mentioned in the presentation) I had problems attaching the one part to the mixer itself. I thought I had it down pat, but then the next time I used it, it took me awhile to get it to stay on. This was probably just a learning curve issue, but by that time, I decided it wasn't an item I wanted to keep. I love all kitchenaid products, have the large free standing mixer, the hand and many of the attachments, but this one was not one I wanted to keep.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Should have returned this item . The part that attaches to the mixer is extremely difficult to attach and will not stay in place. David said it works on all kitchen aids stand mixers other than the smallest one. Maybe it works on the newer models but if you have one of the older ones from years ago it does not fit properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money! I've tried several recipes and not one has firmed into anything resembling ice cream -- or even a milkshake. The first time, I froze the attachment for 48 hours and made sure all ingredients were cold. The next time, I froze the attachment for five days. Same results -- a waste of money and ingredients. I don't like eggs in my ice cream so used "egg-less" recipes. It's too late to return it because I thought it must be me, but after today's disaster, I think it's this attachment. Save your money or buy a stand-alone ice cream maker.
